the flu
has anyone else in the midwest had a particularly nasty bout of this flu ? have severe muscle pain, high fever, diarrhea, and just generally achy feeling. tossed and turned all night with chills and then very hot. i know enough NOT to try solid food yet, but am trying to keep clear liquids in my system. am hoping its the 24 to 48 hour variety. if anyone has had this strain, please let me know what else i can expect ! thanks.......

Re: the flu
Oh wow...hate hearing that you are so under the weather!
I had a touch of something last week, but it was short lived and didn't take much of a toll on me at all, fortunately..
The high fever is something to worry about, and are you certain it's a flu, and maybe not some type of food poisoning? Either one can be dangerous with a high fever.
Watch that fever dear, and please get yourself to the doctor or ER if it gets too high. (see there, see that? That's the ole bossy mothering thing I do, sorry ...can't help myself!)
I cannot for the live of me, remember the name brand...something like tamiflu maybe? It's suppose to get you over the flu in a hurry, and I'm not sure if it's over the counter, or doctor prescribed....sure hope that someone else knows allot more about it than I do and can be of allot more help...I've never tried it, but I've heard it's pretty darn good stuff.
