Soon the snow arrives
Good morning everyone, pretty cold here this morning. Have fire going in the stove and the cats are fighting for their favorite spot by the stove...

OH yeah, stacked wood the last two days, haveint' fired up my wood stove yet though...I just love a warm fire in the winter...and yep, I got cats...they love it too!

Nope, I always wanted to learn to ski, but here in Missouri we just have one ski resort nearby, Crystal Valley I think it's called, it's not much but it's all we have.
I love being outside during the winter though, gathering kindling and stacking firewood, taking the dog for a walk, he's half Akita so he loves the cold and snow.

Here in the Northeast we have many to choose from, I'm 16 miles south of Canada. I love being outside at night in the winter the sky is so clear and you can see every star. I've seen the Northern Lights a couple of times, now that is something to see.

I wouldn't mind the snow and winter, but it gets so damn cold here, you can hardly go outside but for a few minutes. I hate when you take a breath through your nose, and your nose freezes shut.

There's just something about braving the cold, trudging around in the snow, getting all wet and freezing cold...watching the smoke rise from the chimney and knowing that the warm glowing fire is waiting for you inside!

Yes I do, and I bake, and make home made dounuts, and I turn wooden bowls. Oh yeah almost forgot, I bake bread..

Well, so cool! I'd love to know about the wood bowl thing, That's when you make bowls out of one big chunk of wood? what kind of tools do you use?

Lots of lakes all over my area. But I'm not to far from Milacs Lake. I've never fished that lake though. One has to be very careful out on that one.

All though, in the northern part of our state, they have already had snow. But the ground is too warm, so it won't stick around.
