Weather
It is my favorite time of the year...Fall has arrived, the leaves are starting to change the air is cooler and I'm in a frisky mood. I just opened up the windows across the back of my house and I'm enjoying the sound of the breeze (and Monster's Inc. on Disney...LOL). I pulled out the pumpkin spice candles and I'm starting to get in the mood for the season...gotta love it!!!
What does the Fall conjure up for you?

Re: Weather
My front porch! I love it in the spring and summer, but I start changing it out for fall and winter too.
Blooming mums, some nice big candles, and the swings get a few fluffy pillows and warm fuzzy throws. Even when it's get chilly, I can still sit out there.

Re: Weather
You got that right, Fall is here!!! Most of the trees have already lost their leaves, Have had to rake the yard 4 times now. Still more to go. It has done nothing but rain, rain, and rain. No more drought for us. It should real soon, and the snow will fly. I am so not ready for the snow. I'm ready for spring, still have no idea why I'm still here in the frozen tundra, but I guess I'll to wait about 17 years before I move out. So I have to make the most of it. The up side of this time of year, No Mosquito's.

Re: Weather
I love this time of year, it's called Autumn over here. The colours are so pretty. Our clocks change at the end of the month, so it gets dark around 4.30pm. Cosy nights tucked up in bed watching telly and it's the run up to CHRISTMAS!!! I love christmas.

Bet you could talk me right into sharing a throw and a pillow with you....by candle light, of course.
I'd even bring the wine!

Re: Weather
Love autumn (fall), the colours, the smells and the crispness. Visit a place called the New Forest over here quite often. Its a very ancient forest and is absolutely fantastic, so beautiful.
Bonfire night (November 5th) is upon us soon and the memories and smells from those nights when we were kids.
So over here in the UK its, Halloween (not such a big deal as it is in the states), Bonfire night (November 5th), then christmas.
My favourite time of the year for so many reasons

Re: Weather
I like the leaves changing color and have been fortunate enough to see plenty. Other than that, falls reminds me that winter is also getting closer.
In other weather, the South East US has had such a drought that they are concidering water rationing even for businesses. It sad to see the lakes and reserviors so low.
I just have to wonder who or what they'll find in those swamps if they go dry.

I'ts A bit of A strange one that!
The Gunpowder Plot of 1605 was a failed attempt by a group of provincial English Catholics to kill King James I of England, his family, and most of the Protestant aristocracy in a single attack by blowing up the Houses of Parliament.......So most people build A big bonfire and put A likeness (the likeness is very dubious these days lol)of Guy Fawkes the main conspritor on top to burn. I'm A little hazy as to how this has become A family thing but.......you know us brits LMAO
