Staphylococcus
Texas health officials believe they're seeing more cases of the drug-resistant bug, called methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA.
It's happening all over the country. There have been a few suspected cases at our junior high.
Parents... be cautious!... check your kids for signs!... prevention, prevention, prevention!!!
Check out the news reports on this. It's something everyone needs to read!!!!

Re: Staphylococcus
I run into this all the time at work, along with all the other things we need to be careful of. The best thing to remember is, wash your hands often. I know this will not prevent you from getting everything, but it helps a lot. I have to treat everyone at work like they have everything from HIV, MRSA, Hep A, B, & C, not to mention all the STD's that are floating around. We have to wear protective gloves anytime we have contact with those that are not my co-workers. Sometimes we have to suite up full body protective gear. Keep open sores covered, and wash your hands often. Not much more we can do. Can't live in a bubble, but there is times that it would be nice.
