Getting the lead out...
Popular lipsticks test positive for lead
Campaign for Safe Cosmetics finds lead in top brands including L'Oreal, Cover Girl and Christian Dior.
October 12 2007: 9:39 AM EDT
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- A significant proportion of lipstick manufactured in the United States and used by millions of American women contains surprisingly high levels of lead, the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics said Thursday.
According to new product tests, 61 percent of the brand-name lipsticks tested contained detectable levels of lead, which can be toxic if ingested.

I hear ya there Chazzy. All this lead tainted stuff. Someone is just trying to make a couple of bucks at the expense of the consumer.

Oh God for old days when out toys were sticks or broom handles, a tennis ball and the street. 1st base was a telephone pole 2nd was a sewer cover, 3rd a tree and homeplate a sewer cover, so much fun. Boy what the kids today are missing out on.
Or just plain old Hide and Seek
Call me old fashioned, but those days were sooooo much fun

Re: Getting the lead out...
does this mean i should refrain from gratuitous blowjobs from strange girls if they are wearing lipstick for the sake of the captain of my underpants navy's health?

Re: Getting the lead out...
Ahhh weren't they great days. You don't or at least I don't see kids on sandlots or outdoor basketball courts. Not trying to sound like my father LOL. Years ago they were mobbed with kids. We went outside after school and didn't come home till the streetlights went on, BOY WINTER SUCKED.
Sorry chazzy, i think I got off the subject LOL, just more of my rambling venting

Re: Getting the lead out...
As a little boy (5 or 6) I thought it was something in my pants, MY grandpa used to alway say "Lets get a move lad, get the lead out of your pants", I keep reaching in my old jean pockets looking for this lead thing he was talking about. All I would find was bubblegum wrappers, slingshot, dead bugs, marbles and plastic army soldiers. Then one day he said it again and I realized what he meant. I reached into my rear pocket and came out with a hand full of lead fishing sinkers(weights) and handed then to him. I will always remember him laughing till he spilled his coffee. And grandma use to keep saying "whats wrong with you boy you have ants in your pants" , because I kept fidgeting. I for sure knew I was safe because it was not lead. When I pulled the big green grasshopper out of my pocket, I got chased out of the house with a broom. I never did figger that one out... LOL it wasn't even an ant.

And what a hassle and a cost to radicate a house of asbestos and lead now....
Chasing, catching crawdads and frogs at the creek, fireflys in a field at night...all good lead free activities!
