Re: National Pet Peeve Week
Those pretty little "yield" signs, you'd think they'd take the time to put the definition of what exactly that means wouldn't you? But then we just naturally assume that people are going to be as smart as deer who have no problem interpreting the "deer crossing" signs.

Re: National Pet Peeve Week
Hope this doesn't piss off anyone but its mine. People ans organizations like the media that insist on using hyphenated names. such as African-American, Arab-American, Mexican-American. If you can't figure out or don't really want to be American get the hell out and go somewhere else. Imagine mine, Scott-Irish-English-German-Hillbilly-American oops guess Hillbilly isn't a nationality.
anyway the point being if your American say so you can be proud of your roots and background but be American. Until this Happens I believe our country will continue to have huge divides that will continue to grow.

People that don't use their turn signal when changing lanes then whining about why I don't do something about other drivers doing the same thing while I am writing out the ticket.

Cute... very cute ...LOL
A pet peeve of mine is when I get pulled over by a police officer for not using my turn signal and show them a little cleavage and they still give me a ticket...oh, wait, that's not how it happened...I just didn't get a ticket a few weeks ago for this very same thing.

Re: National Pet Peeve Week
Mine's a simple, if not stupid one....
I can't stand it when a dog's ear is flipped backwards!!!!
Or when the end of a shirt sleeve is flipped up (not rolled up on purpose).
Can't stand it can't stand it CAN'T STAND IT!

Julianna and Moon...
J.. your post about people staying on one side and the other on the other side... I thinkt the same thing time to time.
Moon... the dog's ear being flipped back... that'll get to me too here and there. Also the sleeve thing.
LOL. oh yeah... ladies... we're being made fun of for these too... he's the odd one if you ask me.. lol
Ooh. also my pet peeve.... the dresser drawers and kitchen cupboards has to be closed. There may be times to where I forget to shut it... but if I see that it's open.. I will close them if possible. Kinda drives me nuts.

Re: National Pet Peeve Week
Traffic causes a multitude of pet peeves to arise in me. I can't stand when people "rubberneck" (that term is not to offend any rubber chickens that may frequent WN). Traffic would move so much more quickly when there is an accident if people would glace briefly instead of slow down and stare at whatever is going on.

Re: National Pet Peeve Week
Traffic congestion on an interstate caused by a person who knows their exit is coming up but insist on using fast lane till they are right on top of the exit then attempt crossing 3 lanes causing backup in all 3-4 lanes because of their impatienceIf they would just wait their freakin turn grrrrrrrr

One of my pet peeves is when I see parents letting their kids race through a store and knock things over and don't say a word to their kids. Makes you wonder how these kids will behave when they are adults.

Re: National Pet Peeve Week
I agree that cell phones are a pet peeve of mine, especially when people are driving.
Another one is when someone flips a cigarette butt out their car window. What are ashtrays for? Someone once told me that new cars do not have ashtrays. If that is true, they should carry one in their car anyhow.

I totally agree with you! Not only could it start a fire but it's littering! Something that I despise! I carry an ashtray that fits in my cup holder. I reckon some people are too cheap to go out and spend a couple bucks on one

In Texas alone 130 million butts are tossed on the state highways each year...imagine what all that crap is doing to the ecosystem.

Re: National Pet Peeve Week
Being stopped at a red light and a car pulls up next to you with music sooooo loud it could be heard a half mile away so you have to roll up your windows. If I wanted to hear your music, I'd tune to the station or motorcycles pull up reving their engines so fucking loud you have to roll up your window and it's still like their in your car with you. There should be a law. Neither impress me
