Sorry, I haven't been here
Ok I've decided i'm
healed up enough to tell you all why i've been gone. I was taking a plane ride with a friend, he wanted to give me a ride, but it was getting dark. He wanted to show me his, dive & rate of climb. He was flying too low & I told him to pull up, as there are too many hills & cliffs to be flying like this at night. We both saw the cliff, but he couldn't pull up in time, we caught the edge of the cliff. Ryan basically lost both of his feet, & it's unlikely he will ever be able to fly again. I suffered 2 broken ribs, a ruptured vertebra in my neck & had to have surgery to repair it. I'm healing up ok & will be back in the air soon. Sorry I didn't tell any of you, but i didn't want a pity party for me. Sorry Ma, & Pa, didn't wanna worry you. I'll be fine & should be able to log in more. Missed ya all

NRG, my friend, you have definately been missed. I'm glad to hear you are doing better and we look forward to your complete recovery and return to WN...you are an institution around here...oh, wait, someone just said you'd been institutionalized, that explains so much...just playing, hope you are completely healed soon!

Dog gone it NRG.
I'd say that is downright dangerous!
I was flying in a "Lil Bird" once when it went down.
Messed up the ol back a wee bit. Nothing serious, just jammed it. In essence I walked away and was very thankful we were near a hover anyway vice racing down some narrow canyon, banking and yanking when the hydraulics went.
Anyway, gald to see your still a posting!

Well now there brother. You all just rest and get much better. Then I will show up at your place, and beat you senseless for not telling us anything.  I certainly won't want to hurt an injured and helpless person, now would I?  But then I could make an exception in your case.  I will try to get ahold of you and get all the details.

Didn't know you'd be missed???? Silly!!! you know we all missed you!!!! And I, for one, am SO glad that you weren't more seriously hurt than you were. I'm very sorry about your friend -- I hope he's ok. But it's YOU that we know, and that we worry about.... And I'm very glad that you're recovering, and that you're still smiling after what must have been a horrible experience... you ARE still smiling, aren't you?

the stitches are out of my throat now, ribs still sore, but i'm healing. Docs said i should be flying again in a month, but suggested i reconsider doing stunts, he says the crash should give me some idea of what could happen.... lol But same thing could happen in a car or bike. Thanks again for all the get well wishes. I always knew that some day something could happen, but have accepted the risks, but not so sure i wanna take so many chances again. maybe just gettin too old for this shit....lol.....nahhhhhhhhhh
