Public displays of affection
Yeah, we've talked about this before, a long time ago, but I was just reading an online article which asks this question...
************
"But does it make you feel uncomfortable when real people are having an "intimate moment" in front of you? And what behavior is over the line?"
The main rule of ettiquette in the article states that..
"Extreme PDA -- hands under clothes, deep tongue kissing -- just makes the couple look incredibly immature or, possibly, drunk," Purdy adds. In other words: keep it PG-rated, kids. Don't do anything you wouldn't want your mother to see"
*************
I kinda agree that r-rated and x-rated displays not be done in public areas, especially if there are children around, I'm not a prude, it's just seems rude...

Re: Public displays of affection
John: I would not stand for X-Rated PDA in front of my son. I'm not a prude either, but don't expose the kids to anything lewd. I've never encountered anything like that, but on several occasions I've had to tell punk teenagers to watch their language around my kid. Sometimes they apologize, and sometimes they just get pouty and walk away, but I've never had one say anything else inappropriate.
Now in a bar or nightclub or other adult-only venue, I say go for it. Wouldn't want to pass up a free show.

We do a little PDA. But I'll let you figure out how much or how little PDA we do. . I think we're pretty discreet about it.....

Re: Public displays of affection
I'm a PDA girl. I like to hold hands, kiss, and hug but not like the raunchy kind of stuff where hands are wondering all over bodies, etc. I'm always cautious where children are concerned, that is why I'm thinking there should be many locks on a bedroom door...

Re: Public displays of affection
Affection should be tasteful in front of others...I'm reminded of a song...either Charlie Rich or Charlie Price...
"When we get behind closed doors and she let's her hair hang down she makes me glad that I'm a man...'cause no one knows what goes on behind closed doors..."
