appearance
Have just watched a tv show over here and it got me thinking?
Do you judge a person by what they wear? or do you wait until you've gotten to know them?

Re: appearance
Never judge by what they wear as long as it is neat and clean. Clothes may help but don't make the person

Re: appearance
I don't judge people by what they wear. Personality and integrity are important to me. I hold myself to a very high standard in dressing but I don't expect the people that work for me to follow the same rules (although there is a dress code in my office). I believe in setting an example but everyone makes choices on how they wish to spend their money and what their priorities are. I agree that a neat and clean appearance is important but that is not a style or clothing issue to me.

Re: appearance
I judge someone on the first conversation i have with them, i'm a pretty good judge of character, and have been right so far.
I don't take much notice of what people wear, unless their naked, that tends to stand out a bit!!!

Re: appearance
You may see me dressed conservatively when I'm off to visit my parents, dressed in spandex if I'm stepping out for live music and dancing, dressed in a suit if I have an appointment and even catch me in the gardening/nursery or hardware store check out line with my worn baggy overalls, dirty fingernails and messy hair in a scrunchy....all that can be concluded from all that is what I happen to be doing at that time, not who I am or what I am...

Re: appearance
Definitely personality, but if they are wearing dark mascara, leather bustier and carry a cat-o-nine tails, then maybe not!

Re: appearance
It depends upon the situation like working in a warehouse vs public.Plus it definitely includes their personality
and actions...do they smile, say hello, try to talk to you,are they violators in the workplace, cloths to baggy or in appropriate for the situation. It would not matter if,it were a friend visiting.

Re: appearance
I usually dress to suit me comfortable and casual
I can dress nicely when the rare occasion arises
So I judge no one on what they wear
I want to know the person not their clothes
I am not into fashion trends I make my own

Re: appearance
I have a definite distaste for the young guys in their ghetto wear (long baggy t-shirts with baggy jeans). It looks shitty and f**king stupid.
I realize that most of the guys wearing these rags are decent people. I just have a thing about pre-judging them. I would not hire one of them dressed in their ghetto attire.....no f**king way! First impressions are v-e-r-y important to me.
