Adult polygamy
Not talking about the "child bride" crap, cuz we all know that is just soooo wrong...
But what about adults who consent and willfully enter into multi spouse relationships?
On the up side, I guess it would greatly increase the number of incomes for a household, chores and such would be divided up among more people...but then, who wants to follow a "schedule" and wait your turn for some one on one sex ? It seems that jealousy in some amount would be inevitable too and jealousy at any level is just ugly.

Re: Adult polygamy
Alot of it would depend on how adult the adult was, also if three or more people enter into the relationship knowing what to expect there should not be any major problems. Notice I said major problem, cause no relationship is without its problems.

I agree with hot and chazzy, I don't think anyone is adult enough, unless the women(could be other way also, could be men) were brought up in a environment where women are subsedviant to men and where what the man says is gospel and even then there will be jealousy, maybe hidden but it's there. Can't work in the real world. One way or another you will care for one more than the other.

Re: Adult polygamy
Agree there!
Yeh, two or more wives with lots of honey do's. Just what I need.More things to keep me busy - unless it was 'romper room' busy.
And multiple 'times of the month' to boot.
No, one good girl is enough for me.
Now if I can just find her....

Hmmmm...subservient? What does that mean? LMAO
Yes, I'm thinking for me something like that would never work. I'm too confident in who I am and know I wouldn't be good at sharing the man I love with someone else .

Re: Adult polygamy
I have to agree with Julianna... even though I (we) fantasize about others in certain ways and such, I don't know how well I could share my man to some point. Thats why when we talk about possibly having a 3rd... if one of us is not at all comfortable, then it stops. That's bout all I can say on that for now.

Re: Adult polygamy
Most polygamists have one real wife that they have a real relationship with. The rest are just for the mans "convienience" and usually live on welfare.
Before ya bitch, I saw this on tv. PBS or Discovery I think.

Now taking turns being subservient with one partner, that would be fun

Re: Adult polygamy
With the divorce rate up to...oh what?...about 50%....it just seems difficult enough for a couple to make things work...

I was talking about that with my father-in-law, he's been married 52 years, he had very bitter arguments with my mother-in-law through the years but they worked through them over time, people married in later generations don't use the time aspect to work through anything, they have some difficulties and give up immediately. Understandably with some marriages of abuse and such there can be no reconciliation but I'm sure a lot of them could be fixed.
