I agree with some of what everyone said. But I think most of all if you are with a person who really cares and you care for them , then anytime that is private or intimate to the both of you is a good time to talk. Each person is different and each situation is different, but truth, honesty and loving is what it is all about.

Why Lib, thank you for your confidence...
I would say subtle guidance or "teaching" someone what you like and if they don't get the hint, I think HBG had it just perfect, move on to telling them at the pub in front of all their mates...
