Down Time...
What do you do when you have down time? Watch TV? Read a book? Sit in a corner and rock yourself in the fetal position (just playing...)?
My life is crazy...between a full time career, raising little ones and keeping up with the house I rarely have time to myself. When I do, I like to curl up with a good book or magazine and just enjoy a little diversion...

Re: Down Time...
I go sailing, or hit the road on my mc. On a really lucky day, I ride the bike to the boat and do both. Either way, it is freedom...

Re: Down Time...
For the most part, play around with things on my computer and watch TV. Sometimes I play video games only, but that's not as common as it was in the past.
In general though, I do pretty much everything. I've self taught myself a lot of things, some of which I'm really good at, some of which I should take lessons on... (damn piano). I do wood carvings every now and then, and actually have plans to make a new dining room set for myself in the next few months.

Same here, hectic life, but when I have what I call "my time", I like to wander the historic sites on my doorstep, the castles and abbeys, I also like to spend time tracing my family tree, I also like to disappear in a good book and definately put my music on and sink into oblivion. lol
Doesnt happen as often as I would like!!!

Re: Down Time...
I sleep.
If I want some excitement, I put straight pins in outlets and grab them just after shampooing the carpet

Re: Down Time...
I visit a local charity based hospice for the terminally ill, (both adults and children). I take in books, magazines and dvd's etc, but most of all I just enjoy taking time out to chat with the residents.

I knew I loved ya for a reason Lib!!! I've been doing some stuff for the hospice care group that took care of my Mom. My sisters and I certainly learned about the value and gift they were to us. It is good to give back or just give in advance!!!

Chazzy, have you ever been to Lexington, MO? There are some awesome antique shops on the square there. I love to go over there when I get the chance and just browse. This town is also known for it's old houses and The Lexington Battlefield. Also, they have an old house on the battlefield called the Anderson House. It is an awesome home! In my down time I love to go browse in that town and I also enjoy scrapbooking.

Re: Down Time...
Nope, never been there. I don't get to travel much (my vision problems) so anywhere I do go, my husband drives and he shares none of my interests, which means if there is anything that interests me on a road trip, we just end up driving right on past, dammit...
My tiny little town has lots of shops within walking distance.
