Emoticons...which one?
Just wondering...How much does an emoticon that another member uses in their first message to you influence how you think about that member? For example: If you recieve a message that has the "hump " emoticon, do you immediatly think that all they want is sex and not to talk about anything else? First impressions. Or does it not have any influence at all.
I personally use the "computer " emoticon on all my initial messages to members. What do you use? What do you think?

Re: Emoticons...which one?
This emoticon does bring some confusion for some....although, here it is a "smile" emoticon...but this same emoticon is commonly known as a "sneer" emoticon, not very nice...
So I don't like to use the cuz it is possible for some to see it as the "not so nice sneer"....I don't like confusion....I do like the little "yippee doode"

I always thought it was just a smile!!! Never saw it as a sneer, so every message i've used it on i did so as a smile!!!

Re: Emoticons...which one?
I agree on this one. I also always thought it was just smile one. I don't recall ever using these if I have, it was only once or so. I've used But most of the time I will only use But it will depend on what and who I'm sending the message to.

Re: Emoticons...which one?
I think of the as a smile too, but it has confused some, because of seeing it used elsewhere on the internet as a sneer.
I think of all the emoticons here as friendly, nice and cute...even the off topic doode is a cutie and especially not offensive cuz hell....most of us use him on ourselves!
