In heat...
Geez...in my area, the heat index is climbing like crazy...gonna be above 100 degrees all week...
My lawn is brown and cruncy, my poor plants, doesn't matter how wet the soil is, they still wilt from the heat and sun...and I don't even wanna guess what my electric bill is gonna be next month!
How about ya'all? Are you in a heat advisory area? Are you keeping cool?

The heat finally broke for us. Thank god. The heat index has up over 100 with air temps around the mid to upper 90's. We finally got a little rain, but not enough or slow enough to do any good. My lawn is also brown and crunches under your feet. Now for the next week we are to be in the mid to upper 80's or even low 90's, but with a chance of rain on and off for the next week.

Because of all of the rain we have had a cooler than normal summer. BUT the heat has arrived. August in Texas is a miserable place...June and July are also hot but this year they were cool...I've heard it said that hell hath no fury like an August day in Texas...usually I agree but for this year we'll have to see...

That is hot Chazzy!!! In London over the weekend it reached 89/90 but down here as its closer to the coast it was about 80.

Parts of northest England reached temperatures of up to 88 yesterday...today it is back down to 59 !

We heard yesterday that the temps are going to be over 100 this weekend. Kind of scary to think what the heat index is going to be! Hope everyone does ok in this heat and remember to drink your water!

I heard the other day that June is the month with the lowest number of births...ya think it is because August is the month of conception and the heat is just too much even for the hottest couples?

if the heat don't get ya THE HUMIDITY WILL....sure, this morning the temp was only 78 degrees...with humidity level of 95%....

Right now, the heat here is unbearable! I'm not online much at all...my computer is in an upstairs south room with no air conditioner in it....and it's just too hot!

Sounds like it is time to move that computer Chazzy...a room with no air conditioning and upstairs no less is a second floor oven! Get the lady something to cool her down!

My flower beds and plants just look awful! It just doesn't matter much how wet or damp the soil is kept, it's that blazing sun all day burning them above ground.

I've been trying to figure out where I could put my computer downstairs...but it's such a big ole dinosaur of a desktop and I would have to reroute my network cable too...but I am sure thinking on how to get it done!
