Stings
What about those "sting operations"...everything from cops posing as hookers and pushy drug dealers strolling the streets to decoys pretending to be underaged online?
Is it a matter of "hey, it's illegal and if you get caught, pay your dues..."
Or is it a matter of entrapment?
Do you ever think that if the decoy/cop wasn't enticing someone, maybe the crime would not be committed at all, and some people just have a weak moment?

Re: Stings
I think it's entrapment of some kind,I think if a man is out looking for a little sex and meets up with a cop posing as a hooker and gets busted they shouldn't get into much trouble, maybe a little fine or something, but if that person is talking to or meeting someone under age with sex in mind, bust them hard!

Re: Stings
I strongly agree with you on the underage thing....I think that no one should be making adult contact with anyone underaged, decoy or not...even if you just suspect that someone is underaged, or lying about their age...any doubt at all, then follow your gut feelings and do the right thing.

Re: Stings
I'm all for the sting operations. If your not doing anything wrong, then you have nothing to worry about. Street prostitution is still illegal, not to mention that these women/men are not the cleanest of people. Is it worth getting HIV or some other STD, for what, sex. If your that hard up, there's always your hand. Getting caught for being a john, I believe is only misdemeanor. But if you go after the underage kids, you need to do some hard time, a lot of hard time.

Re: Stings
When the decoys are the customers of prostitutes, I think that serves a high social saftey concern, I beleive allot of states, maybe all of them I dunno...when they bust the hookers, they test them for STD's and HIV, if they test positive for HIV, and get caught on the street hooking again, then there's a much stronger penalty.

Re: Stings
I'm all for those "To Catch a Predator" shows. I personally think they are awesome and not just that, but where have these people been...under a rock? If you've seen these people taking guys down, you think it couldn't be you? I realize alot of this is based on impulsive behavior and all but do yourselves a favor and "JUST SAY NO" to anyone under the age of eighteen!!!

Re: Stings
People who play with kids or cross the line and commit real sex crimes ought to go to jail for life. No parole. No mercy. No nuthin'. Their victims end up living with the horror of the adult predator's behavior for the rest of their lives. In the meantime, Americans ought to stop being so naive. A very distinct legal line can be drawn between criminal and adult behavior. The oldest profession in history can be controlled and legitimized just as it is in other countries. In the end, obviously, law enforcement ain't never gonna stop it...ever.
That be my two cents.

This is why I am very careful about who I meet. one must be very careful about who they meet from a 'puter. I take into concideration, how they act, the pics and the age they put in thier ad. I've noticed more and more [not here] that there are many people online pretending to be adults. The youngest I've found was 14 claiming to be 23.
