Bark at the moon
Gorgeous full moon out tonite!
It is a fact that the moon causes tides and affects bodies of water, and our bodies they say, is made up with like 90something percent water..
There are those that work in the fields of medical emergencies, and law enforcement that do believe that people will kinda "go crazy" when there is a full moon.
Do you believe that a full moon can have any effect on us?
Can it alter our mood, our behavior, increase the crime rate, and/or have a physical effect on us?

Oh, so that's why I can see my water level in the back of my eyeballs every time I tilt my head...and all this time I thought it was because I hadn't gone to the bathroom in awhile...

There is no doubt about what you said Chazzy. If you look at the log books, there is a big increase in activity on the "Full Moon" days. For me, I just sit out back and howl.

Re: Bark at the moon
No doubt it causes unusual behavior. When the moon is full I get very aroused sexually. I enjoy seeing two full moons. lol.

I knew I was in for quite the day for my first day back to work when I saw the full moon on the calendar. Full moons definitely have an affect on my employees! I got attacked when I walked through the door yesterday! LOL

Re: Bark at the moon
I believe it certainly can...combine this effect with lingering ozone, after a thunderstorm, and the sensation of calm produced by the "grid" going down, and the reduction in magnetic field immersion...and you have one very soothing evening.

Re: Bark at the moon
They mentioned a surprising statistic on the news the other night. Animal ER's are busier on nights (or days after) when there is a full moon.
I got to thinkin'.... maybe it's not so surprising... maybe more cats and dogs prowl the streets because it's brighter out... But if they see in the dark so well, why then and not every other night? For dogs, it has nothing to do with their wolf ancestry.....
Wish there was a definite answer for this behavior in animals and humans... very strange

Re: Bark at the moon
Firm believer in the "Full Moon--People Get Stupid". I've seen it in action way to often. Then add a little alcohol with the full moon....wow what a great time had by all, well almost all. Wonder what some of them think when they wake up in the cell or a hospital bed

I can't remember the date.Has anyone else heard about it or can give more info.I hope it's true and we all get to see it.

From what I've gathered, late August, Mars will be at it's closest point to the earth and will be visible in the night sky...but the emails going around about "two moons" are not totally factual...
But...no doubt...seeing Mars that close should be a beautiful and rare sight, but just might require a telescope to really appreciate it.

It was very cool! The kiddos and I went out to look at it this morning. My son had to break out the metro page of the newspaper and read all about it
