Rumor Mill
What is the most outlandish and ridiculous rumor that has ever gone through the grapevine about you?
I remember one when I worked in a large factory, this one woman made it her hobby to make up the silliest stories about people just to see who would believe and spread 'em around.
I have rather heavy eyelids, so she started one about me, telling just a few that I was born without eyelids and they had to surgically graft them on and implant the eyelashes...you wouldn't believe just how many people bought that load of crap!

It's not the most outlandish, but it's the most resent I've heard;
Fact - a new London mosque was being considered, which wasn't even submitted for planning permission.
Fiction - a super mosque was being built in time for the 2012 Olympic games in London which would cost the TAX payers millions of pounds and would dwarf St Paul's Cathedral.
I received an email from a local church group asking me to add my name to the petition, thousands of people had already signed it without even checking the facts, no wonder the worlds going down the pan!

When i was employed by a bank, I had a rumour spread about me that I used to store contraband cigarettes at my home, for a local smuggler, in return for free smokes! Hmmm, considering I have never touched a ciggie in my life, and have always loathed this filthy habit  - I don't think so!
I was working in the fraud department at the time, but the boss was'nt even slightly convinced, and agreed that the gossipmonger was just a nasty biatch !!

I've heard plenty of rumors..and even started a few myself. When I was in the military we always said. "If you ain't heard a rumor by 0900, start one yourself."

it was rumored that i used the restroom with out washing my hands afterwards...while i was at work...and returned to the kitchen and started cooking food...

it was also rumored that i goosed juilianna here in the forums...i even got sentenced in "chat law" court room....

I remember another rumor...once when I worked in for a large company, one woman saw me leave work by jumping in a car with a man at the wheel...so the nosey ole bitch went straight home and called my mother-in-law and started telling her how she was so sure I was cheating on her son cuz she saw me leave work with a strange man in a strange car...so my mother-in-law replied to her "You stupic twit! That was MY son picking her up from work with MY car"
Geez...

Psst... Did you hear that Abs's picture is a cut-out from GQ Magazine? Yea, he really looks like one of those guys that drives those VW Beetles. You know the ones that are black with the white doors?! Really, I saw him driving around in one. I was out walking with my wife..."Morgan Fairchild"...Yea, that's the ticket...When he drove by in the, "Geek Squad" car. Oh, and if you tell him I said that, I'll deny it!!!...
