Mosquitoes
I was listening to a radio talk show yesterday. They were talking about what attracts mosquitoes. Much to my surprise, two of the things that attract them were beer and cheese! The one thing that they shared that really blew my mind was that there are certain kinds of mosquitoes that are attracted to the carbon dioxide that we exhale. They said that these kinds of mosquitoes can smell carbon dioxide as far away as 40 miles! This just seemed pretty amazing to me.

Re: Mosquitoes
I live about 40 miles from the Louisiana and Texas boarder and the swamp mosquitoes have biting down pat. With all the rain we have been getting we are growing a bumper crop of mosquitoes this year.

Re: Mosquitoes
There have been times here, that you couldn't even hear the person next to you talking, the mosquito buzz was so loud. But with our dry weather, they have been held at bay.

Re: Mosquitoes
No problem with skeeters so far, the only bug problem I've had this year, are these itty bitty teeny weeny ants that like to get into to everthing!
I use that Ortho Max Home Defense in the big jug outside and inside...takes care of everything including fleas...everything except June bugs, and the cats take care of those, and have a blast doing it!

Re: Mosquitoes
The mosquitoes have started here! With all the rain and more to come. We also have a town that is about 15 minutes from us. Every year they have a festival for the little pests! They call it the Skeeter festival. From what I hear the little buggers come on in full swing to be appreciated!

Re: Mosquitoes
I've tried every kind of bug spray imaginable! They only mask your scent to trick the bugs.... the only thing that really works for me is Avon Skin So Soft. Give it a try sometime

Do Canadian mosquitos make more of an "eh" sound instead of just "buzzing?
