We got one up here that's a dinner theater. People come from all around to have dinner and a movie in one place. The parents have the benefit of a full bar while children are treated to the bottomless tonic. One glass at a $1.50 and all that you can drink. It's really neat. One person can eat comfortably for 15 to 20 dollars and children's menus are 8 to 10 dollars. The movie and popcorn afterwords is completely free (included in the price of the meal) There should be more of these places!...

I think that is high for only one selection, we have a real old nastalgia type theater where on sundays it is 1.50 but at the other theaters we pay 5 also as long as you go befor 6pm after that it is 6.50 popcorn and drink refills are free. But we have a movie theater in every town within say 5 to 7 miles apart, so it could be a competition thing for the movie theater owners.

They still have the old Drive-Inn theater in my home town!
What a kick, eh? Concession stand, playground, all those speakers on a pole...they run all the current movies.

Re: This weeks movie's At Fox Lake, IL.
We have a historical theater in our town. Once a week they show current movies. We do have other theaters but they are at least an hour from us. All the of theaters around us are around $7 a person. We do have one drive in that is about an hour away.

Re: This weeks movie's At Fox Lake, IL.
I have not been to the theatre in about 15 years. I fidget, yawn, scrunch my sweeties wrapper and generally spoil everybody elses viewing, lol! Not intentional, I just can't help it.!
However, I could spend hours watching Prison Break episodes with that delightful, delicious and delectible Wentworth Miller!!

Re: This weeks movie's At Fox Lake, IL.
I'm pretty much the opposite LW...I try to watch anything at home, and I can't relax, always something going on, phone ringing, cats knocking something over, the husband is annoying...going to a theater is about the only way and place I can actually sit back, relax and watch something in its entirety without a bunch of interruptions.
