Getting it right the first time!
When was the last time you were annoyed or inconvienced becasuse some one just couldn't seem to get it right the FIRST time?
We needed a part for a weedeater, to start with the small engine repair guy tell us...it's going to cost more to fix it than it would be to buy a brand new one...
So...second opinion..we went to a franchise store 45 minutess away that sell the brand, and find out that the part for it is only about 20 bucks, and it's a matter of about three screws to change them out..
So..order the part, next week...long 45 minute drive...and they ordered the wrong part...not even close! No idea how it happened, the guy looked up the part, we all agreed looking at it on his computer screen..yep, that's the part, but when he went to order it...it was a whole other thing!
So...next weekend...another 45 minute trip up there and another 45 minutes back...hoping they have the right part this time.

I concur on the work thing, and as 4 hours never ending, the never ending sacrifices of a mother! fast food places ,god how hard can it be? it seems they never get it right. and so much for the drive thru, end up going inside anyway

I own a transmission shop. With that being said it is extremely important to me to fix it right the first time. I try to the best of my ability everyday to get it right. Wish some other shops did the same. When they do not . It makes it tougher on everybody else.

I would say cleaning the house --- I hate cleaning and I seem to be doing it all day every day with no end in site. Didn't I just pick up that dish yesterday?

I think it's been rarely if ever, I've gotten the correct order at Hardee's or McDonalds...but Dairy Queen has a 100% satisfaction rate with me!
(sigh)...I really hope we get the right part for the weedeater this weekend...can't even see my lovely flower beds for the tall weeds bordering them!

Re: Getting it right the first time!
Sometimes I can get it right the first time... but that isn't always the case for pretty much everything.

Re: Getting it right the first time!
It's not that the actual screw up that annoys me.. it's that most people really don't give a damn enough to get it right. THAT'S where most of the screw ups begin. If people would start using their head for more than somewhere to put their big mouths... they just might get things squared away for a change. Other than that... the rest of things fall under the catagory "Oh well".. we all need some of that too.

Re: Getting it right the first time!
I don't like re-doing ANYTHING. So what if it takes me awhile to do it right the first time even if I've done something before. Perfectionist, Absolutely not!!! Just lazy, haha That goes along with repeating myself. I do not repeat myself for anyone. (That really pisses the defense attorneys of when I'm on the witness stand. Hahaha)
