My front porch!!
It's gonna be another beautiful nite on my front porch...ya'all come on and join me there...I'll mix up the margaritas as promised before, and I've got a stash of homemade salsa for the chips!
It's gonna be a clear cool starry night to site on the porch...the cicadas are starting thier mating calls, the bullfrogs from the big pond across the pine forest will be croaking...whiporwhills singing...crickets chirping!

It's a big porch! Everyone is welcome! If the front porch gets too full, I have a little seating area out back in my "secret garden"...there's a fire pit there, if it gets too cool!

What I wouldn't do to be sittin on the front porch!.....I do happen to have a hammock, and its in the most beautiful spot, on the top of a hill overlooking the mountains!.....Even more incredible is when the sun is setting!

Now that sounds like a good plan. Nothing better than sitting on a porch with friends and listening to all of natures sounds. Sure wish we lived closer, we would be there in a heart beat.

Damn geese! They're everywhere! We've got tons of canadian geese roosting at a lake not too far away...and a farm down the road raised and sell tame white geese..(I don't care what anyone says...geese are never really tame!)

Oh if my dad was still able to make it I would bring some great dandelion wine. Do have some great red wine just waiting for a great evening with friends. Oh how yummy that would be sitting on the front porch sipping on wine and being with great friends.

Hell, I haven't mowed the lawn yet..maybe we can start a big batch of dandelion wine...that shit will plum kick your ass!

It sure will Chazzy! When my dad used to make it when we were younger we would go in the basement and sneak it. hehehehe Hey we haven't mowed our yard yet either! Maybe between our lawn and yours we could come up with enough for a big batch.

You know, there was an old lady up the street from us that was always happy.. and I mean all the time. The sky could have fallen, and she was happy about that too. Nobody could figure why... till we remembered that she picked everyone's dandelions. She made everything from those, and we finally got to taste her wine. We wondered no more!
Hmmmmm..... Snazzy Chazzy! Let's see here... got the food.. the booze... ur pretty face.. sounds good! Twister anyone???!!!

Dandeliion wine goes with everthing!!
The recipe from a previous thread...
Ingredients:
1 gallon dandelion blossoms
1 gallon hot water
Juice of 1 lemon
3 oranges, peeled and sliced
4 lbs of sugar
1 cake of yeast
Combine water and blossoms in a crock. Let stand for 24 hours, then strain.
Then add the rest of the ingredients. Let the mixture set for 3 weeks, then bottle.
Age the bottles for at least 2 months.
Yields: About 1 gallon

Oh Gawd yes!! I've been practically living on popsicles for days now! Bring plenty of banana and root beer popsicles...might wanna grab a bag of ice or two...I just finished cleaning out the ice maker..
We'll forget the whole day and just enjoy the night!

That sounds wonderful...I'd love to just come put my feet up, have a banana pop and just hang out among friends. It has been raining so much here there hasn't be many evenings we can spend outside, plus, with the mosquitos you need a blow torch of citronella around the perimeter of my swing...and I just had a few chairs recovered so we could sit outside and enjoy the neighbors...

We'll have company, stray starving cat..well he's not exactly starving for food anymore, but he's a little skittish and starved for love...I can't bring him in the house, he's an intact male, and I have 3 unspayed females..
Anyway, nice cool nite, we can have some coffee and Kahlua with the Popsicles!
