The one that got away...
I'm not necessarily talking about a person...has there ever been something that you just so kicked your own ass for letting get away from you, like a car...or something special like (for the ladies) some jewelry that you really wanted and it was gone when you went back for it?
Mine was a 1965 Porsche that my dad was going to buy from a friend for my first car, it had just been reconditioned and it was gorgeous...Dad went to tell his friend he was going to buy it and he'd sold it that weekend...it was so sweet and I've never forgotten it!!!

Hey, I'll bet you had a great time...I like where I am and who I am because of what experiences I've had in my life...can't imagine going back to when I was younger, life is so much for appealing to me now!!!

Yes I did and still do have a great time, but I seems that I had more great times between 21 and 49 than between 50 and now,,,,I think for me it is the dramatic body changes like the wrinkles, muscle and hair lose, that occures for most people after the late forties. For me that is the one that got away,,,,,

still reads as a yes/no question to me. but just one of those, "i shoulda went for her" deals. even though the probability was very high i'd come out looking like a broken hearted fool.... I could have lived with that and gotten over it... now i'll be left wondering what if the rest of my life.

Re: The one that got away...
I would say, I missed the chance to go to college and get a degree. But I didn't have the money, my parents didn't have the money, well until my brother graduated. Then they sent him to school. I have taken a bunch classes, that together would have enough credits for a degree, but the credits are not in the same area of study. I'll get my degree some day.

Risks not taken are dreams not dreamt...at the time we make those decisions to walk away we think we are protecting ourselves from pain but then we are stuck with questions of "what if"...like for me, what if I was driving around in that little silver Porsche right now...I wonder how car seats would fit in that sweet little baby??? Is it wrong to love a car...it is wrong to love a car...it is wrong to love a car!!!
And BCB when have you ever known a woman (especially a crazy red headed one) to just want a "yes" or "no" answer? It is an implied tell me about it here, and as much as you'd like to pretend it was "yes" or "no" that I wanted from you, it was not...so please act accordingly from now on and when I ask you a question, don't pretend you don't know what I meat little mister!

I have seriousy thought about it, but i have to go back and redo two years plus the 18 months. It will take up alot of my time, and it will affect the boys.
