Rant-o-rama...........
Here goes kiddies!!
This past weekend, I did the unforgivable and I volunteered to help my in-laws move into their first purchased home. I was told to be at their rented house at 8am on Sat. No problem. Color me there exactly at 8am! Guess f**kin' what? Everybody in the house was still asleep. WTF? I pounded on the back door and finally aroused them. When they finally let me in, almost nothing was packed in boxes yet or organized in any way. I was all set to start taking stuff in my mini van, but it took them about 1 hour to get dressed and get going. Well, about 2 hours later, I finally had a load ready to take to their new house. What a f**ked up deal that was for me. I made two 10 minute trips to the new house with their boxes and then called it a day. F**k that sh*t. Has anyone been through a similar experience with lazy ass friends or relatives?
Another crazy experience I had last week was an argument with a public defender cousin of mine, over her defending the pukes, losers and general sh*t heads of the world. She maintains that she took a Hippocratic oath to give all her clients the best vigorous defense possible. I told her I had absolutely no qualms with her on that front. I think I left a turd in her hot tub by saying in passing, that if I was a no good, piece of sh*t and guilty as hell, I would call her in a NEW YORK minute because I know she fight to the death for me, guilty or not! I'm sure she didn't take that as a compliment. My problem with the entire criminal defense lawyer brotherhood is how the f**k they can look themselves in the mirror and knowingly defend an obviously guilty or a repeat offender and maybe set them free to offend again. I've asked my cousin this question a dozen times in the past and she just says it's not up to her to choose what defendants she will and will not represent. I strongly take issue with that oath!! How do you feel about this subject?

Re: Rant-o-rama...........
The lazy friends thing, been there many times...I just accept those things in some people that make us all different, I kinda take those things in stride...
I once had a friend that couldn't for the life of her, stick to a plan, be where she should when she should...we all just factored that in about her and would often make plans around "our Time" and "Alice's time"....IE...we would say things like ..."Ok, ten oclock sound good, is that our time or is that Alice time?"
The criminal defense thing..oh my...you may have good points about what you say, VB..but lovingly I gotta tell ya...you don't always have the best way of saying it, or engage your filter of what NOT to say to people and bypass a few courtesies of what to say.
You're entilted to your own thoughts, opinions, etc...but not everyone is gonna wanna hear them in your blunt and frank way of saying them. I'm sure this criminal defense cousin tangles with the demons of her job on her own, can't say I'd blame her for not wanting them discussed in a social setting, with friends and family. I'm sure it's a tough, very tough job that causes her enough grief, if she can get some time out with loved ones to just drop that ugly side she has to deal with everday, that should be encouraged.

Let me remind you of all the people that have been released from prison having in some cases spent decades behind bars for crimes that they did not commit. How many more wrongful convictions do you suppose there would be if it were not for that oath you so ignorantly take objection to.

Re: Rant-o-rama...........
Let's keep this as nice as possible ya'all...any fighting or feuding breaking out in the forums will just hurt us all...it'll do nothing but bring about a need for new rules to be made and enforced about what we can, and cannot post about.
All of us who moderate these forums really hate having to make decisions about what to edit, lock and delete.
Keep it polite as possible please.
