Crystal Ball...
Where do ya see yourself in a year from now? 5 years? 10 years?
What are some of your goals?
In a year from now, I'd at least like to see some of the home remodeling done, have myself retrained for some decent part time employment outside the home...
Within five years, I would hope to be able to buy a very nice new (or just newer) car and possible be building a small business with my brother.
Ten years....a new addition or two to the house, and a respectable amount in a savings account, and maybe have enough in the budget to hire a hot gardener who likes to work with his shirt off...

Re: Crystal Ball...
At 82 My Mom had a bad memory laps last week so she is in a rehab center having tests done, we picked her up today and took her to JC Pennys for a new dress then to dinner and to walgreens to buy a few items.
So I suppose in a year or less, we will have to place her in a home with constant care.
In five years maybe all my sons will be on their own and not having to moving in and out anymore.
In ten years I will be on Social Security and hopfully have a home built in South Carolina to go in the cold months.

Re: Crystal Ball...
I thought about this thread this morning, and wanted to check back and see what I had posted, and if I had accomplished any of it....
Well, I'm still working on the old house and still working part time but at home...but I can see that in maybe 5 to 10 years, maybe having some space added on.
Wanted to start a small business with my brother, but he's gone now, never saw that coming.
I do have the newer car now.
All I can see in my Crystal Ball right now is...just plodding away, making my home and life a bit better,a bit nicer... spending much more time with family, ...maybe still get that part time job outside the home in another year or so.
Ten years from now, of course I hope to have a proper savings account. I'm not ready to give up on that yet...

Re: Crystal Ball...
not too sure where i'll be at in life over the next five years, but in ten years, i'll be much happier, because my eight year old will be eighteen, and there fore i won't have to pay child support any more...for her, any ways...don't get me wrong, i'm not afraid to pay child support, but it just means that i will have some extra money for myself.

Re: Crystal Ball...
The simplest things in life like (I miss doing these).... sitting on a park bench chatting with a homeless person or working in a soup kitchen. The rewards of giving my love and support to those less fortunate makes me feel blessed for what I have, not what I don't have; it's one of the best feelings and joys I could ask for.

Re: Crystal Ball...
Within another 5 years, I'd love to have had a few more semesters of something...I like school. I like the whole classroom thing and would rather do it that way than the whole learn-at-home-online deal, but I'd like to do both.
