What is "sex"?
Kinda a follow up to Kareena's interesting question about your personal definition of "cheating'
What is your personal definition of "sex"
Is it intercourse only? Does oral or a hand job count?
What about anal sex ? It is penetration, but not vaginal, so does that count, and if so, then why not oral sex when there is penetration orally? What about penetration with fingers, is that "having sex" ?
Does just any act that is sexual in nature, and brings about an orgasm in one or both parties consitutes "having sex?"
What is your personal definiton of "having sex" and just "messin' around"

Re: What is "sex"?
Shades of "Slick Willy"! Any intimate contact with the genitals is sexual contact...."the real thing". Oral, anal, manual, play with toys may not be intercourse in the strictest sense but it IS sex.
I don't know what I would classify something that happened to me during my mis-spent youth. A girlfriend and I were "necking" and it inevitable progressed to caressing, squeezing, rubbing and the loss of both of our shirts. She kept working on my nipples until I had a "tit-gasm". It still had the same conclusion for me and she claimed for her too. Was that sex? If not, what was it?

Re: What is "sex"?
"Sex" actually is the identification after examining the genitalia of a subject. When we say we've "had sex", or we " want sex ", actually we already have it! We ARE a sex. So when we say we've "Had sex" or "We want sex ", what we are REALLY saying that we have enjoyed or are desiring another's genitalia either/and/or joining with our own, OR becoming involved with some other part (genitalia vs mouth, hands, etc.) of our partner(s). So "sex" is who and what we are, not what we need or desire. What we need & desire is to mutually enjoy someone else's physical representation of their sex. 3some .gif"> ---DAMN this is giving me a headache!

Re: What is "sex"?
What it really comes down to is that sex is how you define it, as an individual, based on your experiences and feeling.
When most people say they have "had sex" or talk about "sex" they mean vaginal intercourse, but for many, that doesn't sum up what sex is very well, nor is that even part of what sex is for them. Many of us find it better to define "sex" as being whatever it is that arouses or satisfies us in a sexual way. For some, that is vaginal intercourse, but for others that may be oral sex , masturbation, digital (with hands) sex, anal intercourse, sex with toys like vibrators, or even kissing and petting. Because people and their sexualities are so different, definitions of what sex is or isn't vary really widely.

Re: What is "sex"?
we can all write what we think, but the best way is to find someone here and have a hands-on cession for a weekend or so to get the full meaning, then we will know for sure

Re: What is "sex"?
Sex is not having to say, "I love you" afterwards. Now Making Love is a different thing entirely...

Re: What is "sex"?
Sex is having fun, the final outcome of lust, reaping the rewards of an relationship, or it could be sexual contact intercourse with the one you love.

Not to worry Juilianna, for some men that is the only way they know how to say I love you, Im sure your Partner loves you very much.

Re: What is "sex"?
well, as far as oral is concerned....if it's not sex...the why do some people call it oral "sex"? hand jobs, on the other hand (no pun intended)...does that mean that masturbation is considered sex????
