Cut or Uncut
Just a little observation i've made from profiles here, It seems that many more American guys are circumcised than Brits....Was wondering if maybe its a cultural thing?
I personally have no preference. (after all, it's no skin off my nose! )

Re: Cut or Uncut
It's supposed to be a "religious" thing but a lot of parents over here have it done to their child for sanitary reasons. I didn't have any of my boys circumcised. As long as they're shown how to keep it clean, I don't see any reason for it.

Re: Cut or Uncut
I've noticed that to Libs, i always thought it was just Jewish boys, but it seems that lots of guys have it done. I don't have any preference either, i mean whats a bit of extra skin between friends!!!
I haven't had my boys done, they were taught how to deal with cleaning their bits when they were small.

ForeSkin huh ?? In my younger days with all the testosterone, and living so far back in the woods, we had to have sun light piped in, coupled with the shortage of Hot women I guess I just wore mine off,,,,

Re: Cut or Uncut
Interesting idea...leave it to Liberal to notice what was missing from a lot of guys here on this side of "The Pond". As near as I can tell it started out as a religious requirement for Jews and Catholics adopted it as well. Since the US really doesn't have a "national" culture like most other countries of the world the idea became like "Topsie" and just grew. There doesn't really seem to be a reason for it, just that it's something parents do. I applaud people who question this practice and don't follow it blindly. We Americans do enough really stupid crap anyway without adding more.

Re: Cut or Uncut
This is a funny true story. While stationed in W.Germany I happened to take a pit stop at one of them wonderful outdoor restrooms. You know the the ones I'm talking about. The type where you can take a piss behind a rock wall and talk to people walking down the street at the same time. I had just got started when an elderly man walk up and stood beside me. I was fixin' to tuck everything away when the elderly man took my arm at the elbow and turned me towards him, looking down at me he said in a heavy Germany accent, "Ahhh American" I looked down at him and said,"Ahhh Jewish"

Re: Cut or Uncut
its not about being cut or uncut, I know an amigo of mine who was uncut until he was fifty-two. He had to undergo surgery to remove all that unwanted skin and was in pain for two months. We get cut because its a health issue that needs to be taken care of at an early age, preferably an age that u cant remember.

But I do remember it, I remember sitting on moms lap, I remember doc Cooper, I even remember crying. I don't actually remember the snip though.

Re: Cut or Uncut
Yes, it definitely seems more American males are cut vice Europeans.
You notice things like that when you're at the beach. They would walk up next to you, lay out their towels, then undress in front of you to put on their swim trunks.

Yep...I do think it became common practice here when it was beleived that circumcision was a way to prevent the spreading of certain STD's...but now with hygiene education and the promoted use of condoms, it's not really necessary to do it anymore.
