My happy happy cybervacation thread!
Well, I sure could use a vacation, but I'm tethered to my house due to the large number of special needs rescued animals that depend on me, and the very helpless husband who depends on me...and gas prices are ridiculus anyway...so I'm taking my vacation right here in one thread!
A thread where there is nothing but cute, fun, happy and upbeat stuff...I place where I can be quaranteed once I click the link, I'll either giggle, or go "Ahhhhh thats so sweet/and or cute!!!"
Anybody wanna join me on vacation?
I'll start with a really cute thought...I wish there were just one TV channel that was nothing but a beautiful music soundtrack and for the visual part ....nothing but baby animals, playing, romping, bonding with their mothers...little kittens, puppies, cubs, calves and chicks.....
Anyone got a cute or beautiful thought to share?

This probably isn't what anyone else would pick, but it's one that stands out for me. Being the history nut I am,I went to Utah, to see the Indian Cliff Dwellings. The way they made use of the natural shape of the rocky cliff, for shelter, & protection. The history behind this dwelling still stands in my mind as one I'll always remember.

Ahhhh nice! I'm trying to picture those places now! Yellowstone, I've always thought would be a fantastic place to spend about a month or so!
I love the ocean too, I've only seen it once but it was one magnificent vacation!

Re: My happy happy cybervacation thread!
I've been to alot of great places but someplace I've always wanted to go back to for its natural beauty is Yosemite National Park. The waterfalls were amazing and I was overwhelmed by their beauty. We stood in the clear stream which was freezing cold and was miles from the base of the falls but you could still feel the cool mist as the water cascaded down the mountain. I was young when we went there but I have to admit it took my breath away!!!

My best vacation was visiting a college friend in Portland Oregon and spending several days sailing on the Columbia River and then along the Oregon/Washington Pacific coast in his 38 foot sailboat. He and his friend got me really involved in learning how to sail...it is addictive!

Mother's Day is coming up! I have a reason to shop!
Just taking the quiet little walk up to the main street antiques stores and browsing away a few hours will be like a vacation for me...I just get totally lost in those shops, it's like time travel!
