An Epistemological Ode
An Epistemological Ode
Poetry is only from the soul,
the toll cannot be taught or told.
One must suffer to sing the blues,
or iconoclast their dues.
Time and memoriam,
the curse of us all,
derives its nature, each time we fall.

Re: An Epistemological Ode
true passion she has never known
but her hope remains
with every day
the sadness gains
she knows that in him
she has found something more
it's up to them now
to find out what's in store
one heart alone
can be so small
yet grow much stronger
when they give their all
it is his soul she wishes to see
never letting him fall
one brick at a time
she will tear down the wall
I have more hehe

Re: An Epistemological Ode
I want to know your darkest fears
I want to be here to dry your tears
I want to know what makes you mad
what makes you happy... what makes you sad
I want to know what you're willing to show
let me in, take my hand, I will follow
as for the things you can't confess
when you're ready, I'll be hear for the rest
you've captured my soul and touched my heart
if you'll have me till the end, this journey will start

Re: An Epistemological Ode
to leave him behind
would sadden her heart
the connection they have found
could they ever be apart?!......
so eagerly she desires
to have him near
yet so far away....
she holds back the tears
the essence of our being
we don't quite understand
yet you and I walk forever
souls as one.... hand in hand
when I lie awake wondering
no need to reach far
I close my eyes
and there you are
with fingers gently tracing
the softness of your skin
with mouths wide open
our souls are let in
hearts beating as one
staring into each other's eyes
you hear a breath escape me
a sweet, tender sigh
my tears flow freely now
when I open my eyes
it is there in the darkness
I am alone with my cries
yet every night you return to me
together our souls take flight
intertwined with no release
fly with me....into the night...

Re: An Epistemological Ode
Sundown
feelings hurt,
harsh words spoken,
tear in her eye,
solemn vows broken,
a cycle repeated,
too man times,
time never stops,
pain finally subsides,
she finds new life,
beginning again,
time changes love,
for better or worse,
no man will know her,
no oaths will be made,
she knows her true love
accepts this fate,
her nature is learned,
her mate is found,
two girls hold hands,
the sun goes down.

Hey all. How about attributing material to its owner. I would be seriously blown away if 3 people just came into this room and composed stuff like that! I'm way too left-brained to compose.

It truely isnt hard...Put your heart into and dont listen to your head...Its like speaking to someone you love...Open up and share...I dont sit down and write one poem...I write bits and pieces and add together what I think looks nice...Been doing it since I was in 2nd grade

I happened to have wrote all of those myself, thank you very much! I can't copyright them like KB did, lol, 'cause I don't have names for them yet.

Re: An Epistemological Ode
We've only just began,
and thats the hardest part.
So careful not to end it,
Before it really starts.
Discovering how to make you smile,
and subjects to avoid.
Can be hard sometimes,
for life to be enjoyed.
We've shared so little time so far,
but all we've hads been good.
I've felt more the past few months,
that i thought i ever could.
So if you leave tomorrow,
ill have but one regret.
And thats - that though i'll
care for you,
I'd wish the boundaries we had leapt

Re: An Epistemological Ode
Dark Nights
friends busy,
nights alone,
lovers fighting,
silent phone,
reality tv,
neil young songs,
chicken soup,
too many wrongs,
long night coming,
restless sleep,
tears flowing,
darkness deep,
another dawn,
a joyless day,
another night,
depressed to stay,
no way out,
darkness falling,
silence shattered,
sirens calling,
life ends to soon,
tears are shed,
night has fallen,
for the dead.
