First date...ever!
What was yours? I think I was probably about 10 or 11 and his daddy drove us to a little school dance...it was so awkward, painfully awkward! It seems so sweet now, we both had such a crush on each other!

Re: First date...ever!
i was 16 and our mothers worked together at the J.C.Penny store in my hometown. i hadnt gotten my drivers license yet, sooo we walked! went to the local theater, watched a movie and then i walked her home. i was very surprised when she agreed to go out with me again. her parents moved to another state shortly after i graduated from high school, and we soon lost touch. not only was she the first girl i dated, she was also my first love...... in some ways , i still miss her.....

Re: First date...ever!
believe it or not, it was with kelly. he just got his old 49 chevy truck for his birthday. i was 15, he was 16. i climbed in and he was struggling with the stick shift. he popped himself in the mouth and broke off part of his front tooth. i totally forgot about this until we recently reunited after 28 years. i noticed his front tooth was chipped and asked him how it happened. when he told me the memories just came flooding back. too funny!

Re: First date...ever!
I was about 12, arranged to meet a lad called Bobby outside the cinema, he had a huge boil type zit on his chin, which he had tried (unsucessfully!) to cover up with a sticking plaster... I quickly made some excuse and left.
Cruel? Hell yes, but kids can be !

Re: First date...ever!
not sure it counts as an official date but it led to my first kiss so i say it is still a date.....
back in 5th grade i learned that girl cooties may not be all that bad a thing and decided to accept an offer from the one girl i thought was "cute" to skip lunch and noon recess to share her brown bag lunch in the back of our classroom alone (everyone else went to eat in the lunchroom like you;re supposed to) anyhow we did and after a little teasing and a few pecks on my cheeks she planted one right on my lips... which was funny because it was just like in the movies, when it happened we both got "serious" and kinda paused and stopped giggling/talking etc.
and here i am 18 years later still trying to find that overwhelming, kinda embarressing, weak in the knees feeling just one more time.

Re: First date...ever!
Well, an actual pick me up at the door date...my freshman year in high school there was a junior boy I had a crush on and he called and asked me out. We went dancing and then out to get pizza after wards, the pizza place was where everyone in our town hung out at night. After we ate everyone was standing around chatting when his ex girlfriend took my purse out of his truck and proceeded to start screaming at me at the top of her lungs. He got in her face and said, this is the reason I broke up with you because I wanted to date someone that isn't crazy...he grabbed my purse out of her hands and motioned for me to get in the truck, I went around the other side to get in the passenger door and he came around and escorted me to his side and said really loudly, "No babe, you will be sitting right next to me so I don't have to reach across the truck to do this"...and he kissed me right in front of everyone...
Needless to say after that night we only went out a few more times, I wasn't into the drama of the whole ex girlfriend things. To this day I still see her younger sister from time to time and she snubs me like I'm the plague...
Not the best experience ever...

I think we are all looking for that BCB...
The first time that happened for me I was in 7th grade...he was in 10th (I was tall and for so older guys seemed to like me)and he was best friends with a girlfriend's brother. We hung out all day long at a little festival in our small town...he held my hand...I wore his baseball cap backwards...then just before it was time for him to go he leaned in and kissed me, I thought I was going to drop to the ground...LOL...the experienced kiss of an older "man."
He turned out to be an incredible ass but that day was the first time my heart slipped into my stomach, the skin around my neck and down my chest tingled, and my knees weakend to the point of feeling like I was off balance...those are the feelings we all wish for...

Re: First date...ever!
It was a 8th grade dance, this girl that liked me asked me to a dance. I was so shy I never woulda had the nerve to ask her. My older brother had to drive me, since we lived out in the country. As it turned out, her twin brother wound up being a crew chief for one of the pilots in my air force squadron.
