The dark side...
Why are we ,general population being the "we" here...fascinated or enthralled with such dark subjects?
So many of the most watched TV programs are about heinous crimes being solved, documentaries about the worst of murdering serial criminals, books with all the morbid details rise quickly to the best sellers lists, whether the crimes were last month, 50 years ago, or centuries ago.
Sometimes we love our dark fictional characters, vampires are always very popular....and hell every time I watch the Sopranos, I'm rooting for Tony, and booing the Feds...
Maybe there's a few fictional villains that you find endearing as well?

I still tend to root for the good guys...I like the clean shaven look...i.e. like the guy that plays the football coach on Friday Night Lights...yummy...he's my dream fictional character but his darkest side is ambition...
BTW...they film Friday Night Lights in our area and I intend to develop some stalking habits and follow him around a little at some point in the future...

Every King Kong movie...ya know you spend 2/3 of the movie watching this beast kill and mame hundreds of innocent tribal natives and people, but yet at the end, it's so sad that he gets shot down off the top of the Empire State building.

what about jaws? did you root for the shark too? nah, that's a little much. i couldn't wait for it to be killed and it took forever.

Some villians are lovable....some..eh..not so much! They didn't kill off that freakin' shark soon enough for me either!

You know, I'm such a chicken I have never seen that movie!!! I really don't like the movies with the bad guys...I'm such a big baby!!!

I seen a ad on AMC and they said that the movie child play with chucky was made be cause the writer got sick of seeing cabbage patch kid on ads all the time so he made chucky like a cabbage patch kids

The same reason we all do a "double take" when we see a wreck on the highway... curiosity. If it's not in you, you're not human... just my opinion

I'll tell ya, I was scared to death when I saw "JAWS". I didn't root for the shark at all. The beauty of the original "JAWS" was that you didn't see the shark until right near the end. That was the beauty of it, the mystery......
