A little corny perhaps......
I am, not one to feel I have to be moved emotionally to feel alive, but occasionally I think "hey maybe I was put on this earth to make some people glad I'm here"! I can think of a few right now. Maybe one or two that I helped get started in life or given a opinion to, that actually took my opinion as advice and ran with it.
All this adds up to this: I am only one person in this world, but hopefully I'm the world to at least one person!

I understand dear....I can't stand to see someone cry, a stranger even....I'm compelled to make them take their face out of their hands and look up and see a little light.
I can't do much about social problems in my own community, but I can spend (as dirt poor as I am) a few extra dollars when I shop, and set the items aside to donate to the local food pantry.
Sometimes we can't do much but spot a void or dark spot, and do what we can....
