To do or Not to do......
My wife has been after me to make a decision on whether to have a sunroom added to the house. Finally, I went with her yesterday to look at a few. I liked the all-glass ones. The glass is all tinted and the front is rounded. The only draw back to doing this is we installed a remote controlled, retractable awning last year. What am I going to do with that? The damn thing weighs about 225lbs, so I'll have to pay someone to take the damn thing down.
The salesman told me to expect to pay about $20-25k for the type we want completely installed, electrical and heating included. It would be a small one, about 16ft x 12ft.
Does anyone here either have one or thinking about having one installed in their home? Give me your opinion on it!

The ones I've built, have been, the all glass ones such as you mentioned, or wood frames with glass panels. There is also acrylic glass panels now. the wood framed ones are easier to attach, to your house & also cheaper to built. Both types let in plenty of light for your plants, & add a rich warmth to your house. You will also be suprised at what it will do to the value of your house.

Re: To do or Not to do......
Well NRG, the ones that I like are the all-acrylic glass ones. My 2 year old house is in among 36 other houses, all colonial and ranches. We have an association that must approve my building one. I'm not sure they would want me to have an all glass one or not. I may have to settle on a more conventional addition type.
