Lincoln Log Deficiency...
OK, I've just found something I'm absolutely baffled by. Back in our youth most of us (OK, unless you are WAY younger than I am) had Lincoln Logs...I did not, I was big into Barbies. So, for Easter my son was given a set of Lincoln Logs and I'm sitting in the middle of the floor trying to assist two children put together what looks like a simple little project. One of them just looked at me and said, "You don't really know what you are doing, do you?"
OK...I can dress Barbie dolls all day long but can't build a friggin' little log cabin...
What things do you find that you can't do that the opposite sex has strengths or weaknesses towards?

Re: Lincoln Log Deficiency...
I can iron clothes like an sob. I have the patience to work on the creases and such. My wife has never ironed one piece of clothing since I've known her (31 years).
I can arrange bills to be paid and project through the month when to write the checks, play the "float" and to schedule on-line payments. I do not get penalized for late payments. My wife gets frustrated trying to do either. She cannot understand how I keep track of paying about 25 bills every month. I'll never tell!!
Maybe that's why she married me, huh?

I tried the peeing standing up thing outside when I was a little girl, it made me mad that I had to go inside and go to the bathroom when they could go on a tree. I must admit I did get in alot of trouble when my sister's told my Mom what I did. I said, "Well, if the boys can do it then I can too." My Mom said those were words she would hear alot throughout my life...

Re: Lincoln Log Deficiency...
Woman have an easier time asking for direction than men. I'll find my way with out asking if we have to drive an hour longer before I'll ask someone. But now day we men have GPS so we never have to ask again

Re: Lincoln Log Deficiency...
It is funny that you mention the directions issue. On Wednesday I was getting ready to travel to a seminar and my boss was going to the same one so I asked if he wanted me to print out a copy of the map I'd just printed for myself from Mapquest. He said, "No, I know where it is." When we were at the seminar I saw the exact same map from MapQuest in the back of his briefcase...LOL. He didn't want to admit to me that he needed directions, I started laughing so hard I thought I was going to have to leave the room.

Re: Lincoln Log Deficiency...
Lost, are you kidding!
Heck, I never get lost (at least in my house I don't).
No, I ask directions. I don't like wasting time driving around.
I feel I handle extreme stress much better than most ladies I know.
Also, I'm quick to offer advice when the ladies just want a sounding board. Kind of the "Men are from Mars...." story line.

Re: Lincoln Log Deficiency...
Actually, being a tomboy when I was growing up, I excelled at 'boy' things. I climbed trees, played ball, built log cabins with linkin logs and played cars.
I would still climb trees...if there were any around here worth climbing.

Re: Lincoln Log Deficiency...
Ah Pepper, I'm a tomboy now! But when I was a wee one, I was all about my frilly dresses and baby dolls....now I just like my cut offs, overalls, digging in the dirt and hopping over the barbed wire fences.

Pep!, Heels help to enhance you but don't identify you as a women. Jules, You are who you are, we all learn with each passing year things that we should've known. Kids are creative and we adjust, Some are quick and others take time...It's not a fault, just a learning experience...Enjoy it....You aren't Pepper or Chazzy...You are Julianna...enjoy it. and experience it.

Heels are a great way to feel sexy even if you just have jeans and a t-shirt on...or have nothing at all on...
