You're Fired.......
Yesterday, at HERTZ, a particularly loud and obnoxious employee, was told his services were no longer needed. None of my fellow workers was at all upset to see him go. He talked real loud, almost screaming, swore in the presence of women and customers.
When called on the carpet by the general manager, he called the manager an asshole for firing him and threatened to sue him for racial bias reasons.

Have you ever had a similar experience with a fellow employee who was later terminated?

several years ago, while working in the IT world...a client called me and requested a certain employee be escorted off the property....
i asked why and the Client said, "he stinks"..."his B.O. is sooo bad no one here will work with him...and it's disruptive..he clears out several cubes in the immediate area..."..."he's a "human skunk"....
which was true..upon meeting the guy, i knew as i approached his work area exactly which cube he was in...stunk to high heaven...gawd awful...this after several repeated attempts by his workmates and manager to "be more attentive to hygiene"....
it was really bad...thank god i didn't have to drive him anywhere...
so he was terninated from that client site...fired...for his body odor...

in 1983 i was working for a manufacturing plant in Missouri, when a supervisor was hired when my company bought out a similar company. he was heard telling a black employee that his work was probably sub-standard because of his color. he ALSO called a Mexican-American a "pepperbelly".the final straw was when he threatened another employees job if he didnt attend church with him ! ALL of the other employees (including the other supervisors) cheered when it was announced rthat he had been fired!!!!

I hired a guy and set his starting date and he agreed to the date also. On the day that he was supposed to begin his employ he never showed up. I tried phoning him several times during the week and never once was able to contact him and he never returned my calls. He showed up for work a week later and I told him that his services were no longer required.

I had employed this guy twice before in previous years and he said he really needed work so I decided to give him a third chance because I believe in giving chances. I never considered him for any other jobs after. He would phone me at home late at night after several hours of hard drinking and cry and plead with me over the phone. I finally told him to get his life together, lay off the booze and to stop phoning me. I have not heard from him since although he had talked to one of my former co-workers and he scammed money from him. This was about 6 years ago and nobody I know has heard from him.

When I worked outside the home, it was always in "middle management"....The neckties did the hiring, then I got the diry work of firing their choices...

The bosses probably thought the words" your services are no longer needed", would sound better coming from a pretty face!
