Re: Happy Easter Everyone!!!
Everyone shshshshsh be quiet, I hear EB (Easter Bunny) in the other room. When last I looked the little ones here at my house were sleeping soundly in their beds. Baskets (one a Spider-man head, not Mom's idea of an Easter basket but boys like what they like) were set up on the coffee table in the living room just waiting to be filled...morning will come too early as the four and six year old in our house will wake me up as soon as they discover the bunny has been here. The bunny strategically has hidden some good eggs, including a golden one, here in the house.
Church will follow with all the trappings of the Easter tradition...pastel polka dotted dress for the girl and a lovely sea blue sweater for the boy. We will be wearing winter coats over our festive attire this year as it was sleeting here today.
The afternoon will be filled with lunch at Nannies house and an egg hunt in the garage or house because of the weather. There will be two children hopped up on sugar for one day and happy as clams with their goodies from their baskets...a set of golf clubs for the guy and some glass beaded jewelry for the girl.
This will be the first Easter my Mom isn't around so I'll find a little quiet time to myself to speak with her...perhaps she can help fill my heart with a little of that rejuvination I mentioned above...life does go on...as it changes we do too...I'm one that embraces change but this change...this one is a little tougher...

Re: Happy Easter Everyone!!!
We go to church and then get as many of the family as we can together for lunch at Grandma's house and then sitting around talking afterward. I'm looking forward to it, especially this year. It ought to help me stay about half sane (that will be a major improvement!)
HAPPY EASTER!

Re: Happy Easter Everyone!!!
ROFLMAO - Darn it, why don't I have some Ozzy in my music collection for bunny desecration?
Well, Easter plans have changed for us...the little one is sick AGAIN so we'll be hunting eggs and eating lunch here at the house. The kids are hanging out in the playroom watching movies on their bean bags and Mom is killing herself to make the entire feast...snacking on Kahlua brownies in between chores...now all I need is some Kahlua, vodka and a little cream...mmmmm.

Happy Easter to everyone here. Hope that you don't eat too many of those candy eggs, save some for me. We are off to my parents house, then I'm off to work. Everyone have a great day.

Re: Happy Easter Everyone!!!
i got to spend most of the day with my little girls...we had lunch with 3 of my five sisters and my mother...
the girls loved their easter baskets (one veggietales, and one cheerleader) the only problem was...that damn easter bunny, he didn't notice that there was a VERY NOISY horn in the cheerleader basket...i hope she didn't wake the neighbors at 6:45 am with it...the majority of the day went splendid....until i took them home...and got into an argument with their mother...
hope everyone else had a great easter also.

Re: Happy Easter Everyone!!!
We spent last night at the Easter Mass at Church. My daughter was a server so we were there by 8 and home by midnight! We had the worst weather the last two days with up to a foot of heavy wet snow and wind! Sure felt like Christmas! Today we had my wifes family over for dinner. Lots of good food and music provided by my brother in law and his guitar. All and all a nice Holiday. Too bad tomorrow is another work week

Happy Easter to everyone! We went to sunrise service and then the next service this morning. Then we came home and did last minute things before all of our kids came for dinner. Had an Easter egg hunt for our granddaughter. Then when the crowd thinned out just kinda crashed. Great day, but very long!

Re: Happy Easter Everyone!!!
Hope everyone had a nice Easter and the EB did not present to many chocolate covered things to eat.
Of course REALshedevil probably loves 'chocolate' covered things! ha ha
I do!
And to Jules, I hope you had the moment to think about the great times you had with your mother.
To all-love and health to you!
Here's some Easter lilies (kind of)
