Commuters
Do ya'all commute to work? Do you drive quite a distance or is it a pretty short commute?
Is it pretty and scenic, or a morning drive time traffic hell?
Do you carpool, do you get along well with your fellow carpoolers, or do they occasionally get annoying with their chatter and choices of radio stations, etc...?

Re: Commuters
I am in traffic hell...I go past some farms on the way to work but then farmland turns into a concrete highway hell. I work abreviated hours (9-4) but I still hit traffic. On days where there is no traffic my commute is about twenty minutes, otherwise it is an hour.

Re: Commuters
I don't have much of a commute, my jobs only 3 miles away and takes me 5-10 minutes, depending whether i'm stuck behind the school buses or not!!!
I live in the country, so i pass mainly fields and farms. Roads are good and are kept safe in the winter.

I'm very lucky, I can stay busy year round without leaving town. Eludes me why since this is a small rural town, & the only advertisement is word of mouth.

Cuz you a person that believes in quality, workmanship, fairness and all the others things we respect!
I don't commute now, but once...I had to and the shortcut was on a dirt lane that passed by and through century old farms...I loved it, especially when driving by a pasture of baby cows, the brown (or black) and white ones with the curls on top of thier heads...they were so silly and frisky in the frosty cool mornings, romping and running...I was always so relaxed and upbeat by the time I got to work.

Re: Commuters
Being self employed, you have to commute all over the place, but the one advantage to that is you find all the short cuts so you can try and avoid traffic. The only problem that I am having now, is that we are growing so fast the short cuts I once knew, everyone else is starting to figure them out, so they are no shortcuts anymore. However, I will drive out of my way to avoid traffic, which ends up taking the same amount of time, but without traffic.

Actually, the little highway running through my tiny town is a not too well known "truckers shortcut"...as long as they putter through town doing the speed limit, and are courteous to the old farmer driven pick up trucks, and don't mind dawdling behind the occasional tractor, we happy to share our scenic route!
