Sad news in our town
We had some sad news in our town. A 13 year old boy decided that he wanted to play the choking game that the kids have been doing lately. He took a dog choke chain and just knew that when he passed out the chain would release because he thought his hands would relax. His mom found him. He was choking to death as if he had hung himself. Right now he is on life support with brain damage. His family was told they will have to make a decision soon on whether they will leave it on him. So scary what kids are doing now a days for what they think is fun.

That is so sad, and it is very scary what kids will do, especially when their friends egg them on. I really feel for that poor family, i have two teenage.

That game is very scary, evidently they get some kind of high that lasts for a couple of minutes...some sort of euphoric feeling. Where on earth do they get the thoughts for this kind of stuff?

a dear friend of mine lost his 12-year old nephew almost the same way. his mother found him in his walk-in closet, hanging by a belt. even his friends insisted that he had NOT been suicidal. another young life wasted in the search of a thrill........

So sad, why are we, when we are young, built with this stupid mindset of being immortal and bullet proof?
Yeah, I know, it can all be explained with excerpts from text books...but it never takes the edge of just how senseless it is when tragedy hit.

There used to be a craze like that in our school called 'wallbanging', youd put your head between your legs and breath real fast and deep till you get a headrush, then you stand up straight and a group of people push on your chest, it makes your heart stop for a minute or so... It wasnt so much for pleasure its just curiosity and trying to look tough infront of the girls and stuff... horrible :S
