Favorite Movie Lines.........
When you watch a movie and an actor recites a line that sticks with you long after the movie is over, is it the actor that makes the line ring or is it the line that makes the actor shine?
Which line from a particular movie helped make that movie one of your favorites?
Or was it a particular line. that made that actor a favorite a favorite of yours?
Two of my favorite movies are A FEW GOOD MEN and MAJOR LEAGUE. The line from A FEW GOOD MEN that JACK NICHOLSON recites "you can't handle the truth", is a benchmark for other actors to emulate, in my eyes anyway. It was a powerful line, delivered as the camera got closer and closer to the actor so when the line was delivered, it was at you, the viewer! It hit me hard!!! I think NICHOLSON's delivery of that line and quite a few others, made that movie a favorite one of mine.
In the movie MAJOR LEAGUE, the line I most remember was BOB UEKER, as a play by play baseball announcer, shouting "juuuuuust a bit outside". You have to watch that movie to appreciate the humor in that. UEKER's delivery of that line was perrrrrrfect, as opposed to the pitch that he described. That and a few other lines from this movie, made this a favorite of mine.
Anyone else care to give up their favorite movie lines or actors and how they impacted the way you viewed those particular movies?

Re: Favorite Movie Lines.........
Chazz, sorry to hear that.
Okay, movie lines, I like Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry when he points his gun at punk asking the punk if knows how many rounds are left.
Pointing the 44 Magnum at the punk he asks,
"Do you feel lucky, do ya?"
or "Make my day."
