Self Awareness
What makes you self conscience, or when do you feel the most insecure??
Does it take something like pulbic speaking, being around an overachieving person or sibling, being in front of a photographer, public bareness like at a beach, or maybe when you meet new people ?
What gives you self doubt?

Re: Self Awareness
Bathing suits...after having three children I don't care for them. I look fine in my work clothes, shorts, etc. but I don't like the way my body looks in a swimsuit, there is now way to hide the flaws in them, you are out there...
Public speaking and meeting new people aren't really a problem for me, I'm out there in front of others all the time. My personality is usually the thing that brings people in and it makes it easy for me to do my job...thank goodness I'm not a motivational lifeguard!!! LOL...

Re: Self Awareness
ahahahaha~
i would think that being completely bald with no eyelashes and eyebrows would make me self-conscious but it doesn't. i have a sort of defiance about the way i look right now. people stare but for the most part people are overly sweet and hold the doors open for me, etc...

Re: Self Awareness
The one time that comes to mind is when I was laying in the burn center. I had no skin from the waist up, was in horrible pain. I looked so hideous, which my wife at the time so graciously pointed out to me,that I was so self conscious , I never again allowed another visitor the whole time I was there. I was mortified of how I would look the rest of my life. Got lucky though, only 2 little scars remain from that burn.

Re: Self Awareness
It has to be when a boss or instructor is standing over my shoulder expecting me to be able to perform my job - I can all day long - until then are peering over my shoulder. It just makes me so nervous!

Re: Self Awareness
I'm very self consensus about the way I look. I always have too make my hair is OK, adjusting my clothes so everything is in and in order. I have to maintain a professional look while working in the public eye.
