Chain messages
My friend has just sent me a chain message, you know the kind of rubbish, if you don't send this on you will get bad luck. Yeah like i don't anyway!!!
I get very angry with people who send these on as unlike me, some people get very worried if they don't pass it on.
My feelings are delete them and move on!!!
What are your thoughts on chain messages, a bit of fun or not?????

Re: Chain messages
it all depends on my mood....
one time i got one that said if i passed it on, i'd get the phone call i was waiting for soon...1 hour later, i got called in for a job interview..didn't get the job...but i did get the phone call.
and another one said if i passed it on, someone special would tell me how they feel at 11:11 pm...
and...she did.
well sort of....i passed it on to her...and i let her know how i felt...at 11:11 pm.

Re: Chain messages
I get them primarily from one friend, he's a fiend for them!
I just auto block all his emails anymore, he's so busy with spamming, no one ever gets a personal message from him anyway. It's a shame, we miss him!
He's also big on forwarding stuff that has been forwarded countless times.
I don't bother opening these emails that I have to open a half a dozen emails in order to finally get to the original message.

Re: Chain messages
I can't stand them and don't pass them on. Especially those that say - "we'll see who my friends really are" or something to that effect - really p.o.'s me!!

i agree w/cktc. i also delete the overtly religious ones too. those bug me because those that send them to me are such hypocrits. i'll get a holier than thou email one minute and the next i'll get a raunchy x-rated joke from the same person. come on and make up your mind.

Of all the people to get chain letters from, I get them from my sister, she a elementary school principle no less. I have yet to forward one of those bad boys. Makes you wonder about the state of public education. Do I hear the toilet flushing?????

I feel the same way as most of you. I will read them and hit the delete button. As far as the forward after forward, I will send them on if they are good. Heck, I got NRG that way.

Re: Chain messages
Agree! there Liberal.
I don't mind an occasional one. Some are funny, but I do not fwd them. I delete them.
Even with a couple of friends who only sends these, I'll at least open to see if they have a real msg for me vice another chain letter.
Then I'll delete.

Re: Chain messages
I try not to do alot of chain mail, but some of them are cute , so when I hit FORWARD I can then change the wording and make them more personalized by adding the persons name that I want to send it to and deleating all the crap where it says if you send this to 20 people in five minutes,,,,,,etc.

Re: Chain messages
Lib - sorry to disappoint - but if you put the first sentence in Google - many, many hits come up with the same exact chain letter.
Plus, I had already received it myself - and that is how I knew.
