Re: Meltdown
It's been a while. I'm a very easy-going person, so it takes a LOT to make me melt down and i usually don't yell, I cry. I don't know why, I just do, then I hyperventilate and make myself sick.

Re: Meltdown
Funny you should ask!!! But it was yesterday, i lost it big time with my boys dad, he just caught me at a bad time. Lots of things in my life have been building up and he got the full force of it.

Re: Meltdown
I'm going through a separation so that happens at least once a day with my wife/separated wife/whatever you call her. Usually I'm responding to her blowing up at me (not her fault really, she's been diagnosed with a few issues) though sometimes I loose it a little bit myself. Separations are frustration

Re: Meltdown
I rarely lose it but when I do it is a full blown meltdown...the last time it happened was last summer when my house flooded. Things at work were CRAZY, my Mom had been diagnosed with cancer, and I was in the middle of the floor doing yoga trying to relax when water was flowing all over the house...I completely lost it...crying, stomping my feet, it was nuts, I don't remember a time before that when I was like that and I will hope it never happens again!!!

Re: Meltdown
Boy that's been a long time ago, probably over 5 years ago. Don't remember why, but it was difinitely with the oldest boy. He ended up on the floor, and in pain.

Re: Meltdown
I think it's something every boy goes through, on his way into manhood. The day always comes to us, when we finally believe we are big enough, & tough enough to take the old man. Most of us try it to soon, as I did.My dad was a very salty man with very big ,strong hands & arms. It took only a short time to see I had bitten off way more than I could chew. I never tried that again..

Re: Meltdown
several years ago... i was in school at that time and got a call in the middle of the night from little brother, pa was depressed and started drinking again. long story never getting told.. first and only time i've hit a family member.
gotta admit though.. even as anti violent as i am it ended as a very good thing. i never really had a true relationship with him (or his respect) until after that night.

Re: Meltdown
Only once going through a very messy divorce 10 yr ago.
But that lasted for some time.
I do get angry at times, but then go out and exercise.
I can be angry one minute, get it off my chest and be like nothing really happened.
Of course the others around me aren't so 'relaxed'.

Re: Meltdown
I can't remember the last time I had a meltdown. I try to find the root of the primary problem first, this way there won't be a domino smack-down and blame it on someone else, other things, and have everything blow out of proportion. Paience is a virtue as they say.

Re: Meltdown
My meltdowns come far and few in between......Last one I had was this past Saturday......In the process of moving, I just sat in the middle of the floor in the new house for about and hour, and just cried!......I never felt so scared, alone, and sad.......
I thank God I got over that hump the next day, but I sure do work hard at keeping it together!.......

Re: Meltdown
I usually have meltdowns at work from frustration if nothing else and they are short and sweet cause a lot of times it is what it is
