cat... they are pretty much born trained. (and kitty litter is much nicer to get rid of than a turd skidded across the carpet)

Most dogs are too big for a house, plus they chew up anything they can get their teeth into. Cats are simpler

In ceramic they are both fine pets, I kinda go for the ceramic delmation on the front porch

dogs and the only reason I say that is cause they don't frigin scratch on your door to get outside at 3am

I've had both in the house at the same time. My dogs have all been large breed, so I would say BOTH.....

I love dogs. But I wouldnt mind to have a cat someday if the kitty litter is somewhere I don't really have to smell it all the time.

What????  You wouldn't put your cat on a leash and go for a walk???? And Yes I do know of a few people that do that....

I've had plenty of cats around the house when I was growing up, and there were times when we didn't have them... but I can't remember ever NOT having a dog. I've never really been a "cat person," although I do love 'em... I'm a "dog person."

I am a dog person although we have not had a dog since our last one died about 16 years ago.

Dogs..,,Mainly because they remind me so much of men!
1. Both keep moving. ..even when they are lost.
2. Both take up too much space on the bed.
3. Both have irrational fears about the vacuum cleaner.
4. Both are threatened by their own kind.
5. Neither understands what you see in cats.
6. Both want dominance.
7. Both do the dishes by licking them clean.
8. Both chase cars.
9. The larger ones tend to drool.
10. The smaller ones tend to be more nervous.

good one lib...
i would have to go with the loyal dog, even though i do love the pussycat too. dogs are big loving teddy bears and they love unconditionally. they also make good alarm systems. i have five of 'em.

When I roar.. , all the animals find me. Thank you Liberal, just can't help myself, love em all!!  I've had a few rescue animals, would save them all if I could.

I say both.
Dogs are great when you are alone, they let you know when there is someone around. And can make you feel safer.
Cats you can sometimes cuddle with and they are just relaxing sometimes.

Kitties make me sneeze...we have dogs and although I like cats I can't have them...plus, what's better than waking up with a cold nose on your ass?
