Re: WN consumer reports!
Just about one year ago, I made a large purchase from TWEETER. I bought a BOSE LIFESTYLE 38 audio system. The retail price was $2999.00. I also purchased the installation from them. By the time the MONSTER CABLES and a high end remote control ($599) and installation were added in, I wrote a check for $5500.00!! The BOSE unit is used in conjunction with my 52inch TOSHIBA DLP television. The BOSE unit holds 200 hours of cd music on it's hard drive.
All in all, the BOSE unit was overpriced by about $1000.00. I would not recommend spending this much for this level of sound and versatility but I may be in the minority. A sh*t load of these are sold.

I didn't go out and buy a whole new entertainment center or anything... I'm not a big spender.. but the new steak ciabatas at jack in the box are pretty damn good!

I bought a Sanyo 26" flat screen LCD TV from a pawn shop, about $400. Reatailed in store for $699. It has HDTV tunner built in. I've not had any problems with it, and the picture is great. Couldn't believe the difference in the HD for picture quality.

I'm assuming you have the HD service with your cable provider? If so, it' better than sex, right?

Never assume anything. No, I do not have cable, the antenna is for the broadcast from the stations, not cable. And the sex at my house is sooooooo much better than cable. And too my surprise, there are more channels broadcast by the local stations, than I would have thought.

Re: WN consumer reports!
Hey FUN, I'm glad to hear the sex in your house out-shines the cable offerings. If it is indeed that good, did you ever consider putting your sexcapapdes on the local public access channel? That way you would be adding some spice to the cable viewers in your area. I'm sure you would be a hit!!!!!!!

Re: WN consumer reports!
Ok so it's not HD tv but I did just upgrade my cell phone to a MotoRazor. It seems very good as a phone. I don't use the fluff stuff like text messaging, Internet access etc., and I've read some negative stuff about the phones in those respects but all in all I like it. I got it for $39.00 through my old provider SPRINT.
As far as BOSE goes yes it is over priced but it's slick design and better then average build quality and simple hook up has alot of appeal to people who can afford it. Sound wise they are ok but for that kind of money one could really get some hi fidelity stuff

JJ, my wife and I also got the RAZOR phones in an after-thanksgiving special....2 for $49.95 from VERIZON. They are nice and work pretty well. Good camera funtions and I do use the text messaging. The only down side for these skinny phones is I've dropped mine a dozen times but they keep on tickin'!
My BOSE system works fairly well and has very compact (speakers). They are mounted high on my walls so they are out of clear sight unless you purposely look up way above eye level. That and the general ease of use is the main reason for my purchase. Could I have gotten more audio quality for the same money? F**k yeh!! All in all, I'm very satisfied with the system.

Same reason I bought the little 123 system a few years back. Small size big sound. It's fine for movies and the radio is used more then the dvd player around here. For music CD I have a 'real' system, however the Bose does have its place Oh and my Razor is RED But the real issue shoud be Whiskey. A nice bottle of Makers Mark gets my vote!
