Re: Snow day
Oh yeah I had one a couple of weeks ago. It was so cold that my fuel jelled, I have a diesel and I sat there for over four hours waiting for a towtruck and it was almost 20 below with the winds off of the river. I froze!!!!

Re: Snow day
Hay now, wait just one minute. I'm reasonably close too those two. If you want to isolate that cold just bit, like just over them, I would appreciate that a lot.

Re: Snow day
About 4 or 5 years ago, we got 72 inches in a 48 hour period. Because it was so cold, it was a real light, fluffy snow. I needed to get into my office and the parking lot hadnt been plowed yet, but the streets had and the was a large pile at the entrance of the parking lot that the street plow had pushed there. I decided to climb it. Bad idea. I got to the top of the pile and fell straight down into the pile, up to my neck. (fortunately, I had put my keys in my pocket!) Well trying to get out was a real trick. I would just get some footing moving forward and I'd slide backwards. So I tried getting footing with my heals and then I would fall forward! It was like being trapped inside a beach ball and trying to walk. All I could do was laugh at myself and wonder who may have been watching and also laughing at my stupidity! I guess I should have just taken a Snow Day!

Re: Snow day
my last memorable snow day was spring of 2003...we got a major snowstorm..i was in CO at the time, just had a knee operation and was on percoset...
what a great time..popped a couple of those "perkies" ..drank a glass of red wine.( i had to take my anti-oxidants somehow) and then shoveled a hole onto my garage from the upstairs window, which allowed me to shovel snow off of my garage roof...all with a bum leg...god it was fun!!! sometimes i sure miss the snow..

Re: Snow day
When you fall on your ass many a times, snow is nothing, compared to the ice that forms after storms. My poor ass, what it has been through with the ice, not the snow.
