Lovestyles...
Hey all...Do you feel that ALL love is of the same nature...or do you catagorize it, i.e....Love for a sex/life partener, love for a friend/family...as different, at its very core. I, for one do not differentiate...Love is, or is not...you care or don't. The REAL strong emotion felt for a single individual, at a particular time, I attribute to Infatuation/obsession, altogether different...BY my estimation. How do you feel?

The way one DISPLAYS love, toward another, is (hopefully!) different, thats true enough, to me...however, I feel that the sensation of love, of genuine concern, for someone...is the same. The girl in my life and I are divided on this one, currently!

Re: Lovestyles...
Women are really complicated on this issue, and they differentiate between their so called diffrent loves for themselves as good reasons, and also they like the words Platonic and Chemistry, I find these two words as reasons to except favors and gifts from people without having to show any love or favors in return, all women are different when it comes to explanation of love, the only thing in humane instinct that divides women is wether they are givers or takers, and the same could hold true for all of us as well, I believe that to just like someone is a form of love, as the saying goes, Love starts with a smile, is nourished with a Kiss and ends with a tear. It takes a second to meet someone, a minute to love them and a lifetime to forget them. But do not go by what I say, because as an individual I basically love everyone

Re: Lovestyles...
I loved one man deeply in a very souful way, it was glorious while it lasted (8 years) I never knew a romantic love to be so fullfilling to be felt to the core.
Then there's my husband...I love him, love him dearly but a huge part of this love is the same love I would feel for anyone I lived in the same house with for 5 years. He's very difficult to love and from the difficulty he has in returning love I really don't think he "gets it" at all and isn't able to grasp the concept of deep committed love.

Re: Lovestyles...
Perhaps it is a gender thing...my children I love in a way I've never experienced, from the first time I held them I felt a sense of awe that I had made these amazing creatures...I love a partner with my trust and passion, a stirring inside that can only be achieved through intamacy and kindness...my friends I love with laughter and shared past and experience...
Don't know that it is important how I love, just that I do...
