Your Legacy...
Having just said goodbye to my Mom almost two weeks ago...I've been reflecting on what I'd like to be remembered for...for instance, the resonating tone at Mom's services was how she took so much pride in who her daughters had become and that her children and her grandchildren were her glory in life...
What do you want your legacy to be?

Re: Your Legacy...
I would have liked to have a legacy, like a nice family. But all I will leave is a few houses I built.... in a word, I will have left NOTHING!!

NRG...I think you are so wrong, you always leave a smile on my face, you always leave me with kindness, and you are generous and kind, so to me I would say your legacy is about FRIENDSHIP !!!

Re: Your Legacy...
Yeah I flew fighter jets for the Air Force, but nobody is gonna remember that. Someone to carry on the name would have been nice. After I'm gone, everthing I've done will go too, with nothing to show for it.

don't get me wrong, having soemone to carry on your name would be nice...but don't think that no one will remember you for your time in the airforce...i'm sure you've spun a few yarns about your time in the 'force to someone who will get a lasting impression...i remember some of my dad's army buddies (that probably felt like you do!!) for the stories that they told...

Re: Your Legacy...
When I go, I want about 300 people at the service and I want to have had sex with all of them so that they have some very uncomfortable moments and later, some good stories.
That would be a legacy to be proud of.

Re: Your Legacy...
Well...there were times when I would happen to run into someone from highschool, or grade school and not only am I amazed that they recognize and remember me, I really amazed at how freakin' happy they are to see me again... Gawd, just seeing how happy they are to see me, and I realize how freakin' happy I am now, that I never, ever, made fun of, pick on, turn a snobby nose up at anyone during those early years, I was thrilled to get to know them all, hang with them, and just treat them all with respect.....yep, I ran with the popular crowd and allot of them didn't care for me associating with the uncools, I never cared enough about being popular that I hurt anyone else to gain it....that's the only "legacy" I have at this time, and if its the only one I ever have...that anyone that's ever met me no reason not to be very happy to see me again.....
