belts and suspenders?
ever notice that most men who wear suspenders also wear a belt? why is that? are they trying to make a fashion statement, or do they really need the extra support?

Its one or the other. Wearing both is simply wrong. And NEVER wear clip on suspenders. John Malloy would just cringe!

the last man i saw , or noticed anyway, that wore suspenders was my late grandfather. he NEVER wore a belt when he was wearing them either.....

yeah, the funny thing is, most of the guys i see wearing both tend to be overweight...it's seems like they started wearing suspebders to "look cool", but then they realized that their pants were still falling down...lol

I sometimes wear both at work, because my nail belt sometimes weighs 40-50 lbs. One or the other won't hold it up. But around town never. Don't even really need a belt.

that is a different story...and i different type of belt...
then there are those teenagers who should be wearing belts...or just pull their damn pants up...i don't need to see a 14 year old boys' boxer shorts sticking out of the top of his pants...

Ok ,,i have to ask,,,are Suspenders equivelant to what us Brits call 'braces'..? 
If so - do you wear them to keep your trousers up? or stop them falling down?

Braces around here are put on your teeth to traighten them, never heard of that term for pants,,

We use the word 'braces' for both teeth and pants HH....
I wear my kind of 'suspenders' to get guys pants down - not keep em' up.......!!!! :Lol !!

I see no reason for a person to wear a belt and suspenders....I am however, still debating the whole socks with sandals issue.

My dad wore both. He usually wore suspenders at work to help keep his tool belt up... the socks and sandals, though
