Destiny
Inspired a little by the coincidences post, but worth asking seperately i feel 
What you guys think of fate or destiny? You think your lifes planned out from the moment your born or you a believer your in control of everything that happens? ( an inbetween view is fine lol )

i believe that whatever happens...happens, there is no rhyme or reason for why certain things happen and other things don't!!

I have to say, i think destiny plays a part in our lives, but it is the choices we make that map out the route we take. Destiny leads us down one road we chose the direction we take.

I agree. We evolved over a long time to become what we are today. I think if we were all living a preprogramed life we wouldn't need some of the traits that we have developed by natural selection over thousands of years. In the wild animals that are bigger and stronger are more likely to mate so those traits are passed on. As man evolved the better hunters and smarter warriors survived and reproduced while the weaker less smart starved or where killed off and sure never got laid! or they just moved to Cleveland

good question and great thread.
i believe we are individually responsible for our own colors. what i mean is that life is a tapestry and we the thread. how we are woven and interwoven with each other derives the final picture. it can be bleak and ugly if we as individuals screw things up, or it can be beautiful and brilliant if we shine with the life given free will to achieve the most we can.
i believe we should all try to be the best we can be and to help others that are less fortunate.
i also believe in god. there is no doubt in my mind ~ for example, look at the snowflake, each individual and different. so are we. each beautifully made, yet so complex. i could go on and on, but won't ~

Whatever happens in our lives, there are somethings we do have control over, and these are the things you should make happen as they will turn out to be the best times in your life, and the most fun

I think both play a part, I mean certain things happen cuz you're in the right place at the right time. But what you do with that chance fate , or what you make of it is entirely up to you.

I definately believe in destiny and that people come in and out of our lives for a certain purpose. I look at friendships over the years and can see how each individual I came in contact with during happy or struggling times was there for a specific reason. Certain seasons of life bring different experiences and we meet each situation and choice with new perspectives because of where we have been. I don't believe God lined our lives out for us but I believe He plays a huge part in helping direct us to the right paths in life.
My greatest blessings are family and friends and I believe my greatest destiny in life has been to cultivate relationships, I couldn't have made it through the past six months of my life without my eclectic group of friends...my belief is that destiny is about the choices we make in our life and I'd like to think that the path of least resistance isn't always the right direction.
