Being a sexist.
In our world that demands "political correctness" to the point of being sometimes silly and annoying, is being a sexist always wrong, is it ever right?

If I were truly a non-sexist being, than I wouldn't mind what sex a person was when I'm single and dating, but I do mind, I like to date men! But what sex a person is does not affect the enjoyment I get from their platonic company.

I don't mind saying that I prefer female veterinarians over the male ones, simply because my pets seem to have that preference.
I do prefer a female gynecologist over a male one any day, a female gynecologist has the same physical equipment and hormonal makeup that I do, and just seems to understand me better.

When it comes to hiring someone to do some rather heavy or risky handy work around the house, I prefer to hire a male, not that I think males are better, but in all honesty, I'm just a female that prefers to have these things done "for me" by the huskier, more muscular males, maybe, staying in the "all honesty" range here, it just makes me feel more womanly to have a man to take of some things for me.

Do you deeply belief in egual rights amoung men and women, but still have a few sexist notions?

Re: Being a sexist.
i am with you chazzy - female vet & ob/gyn, male to do the heavy lifting and physical chores around the house. i think it is just reality that the female and male species are built differently and have specialties in their respective expertise. if they can maintain their wherewithall in the opposite environment, more power to them. what i think is sexist is the way women will drool over a dancing chipendale or the way men will lust after a vegas showgirl. granted, they are eyecandy, but let's be civilized and adult about our actions. don't humiliate your genders ppl...please!

my 2 cents...

Re: Being a sexist.
I have no objections to either sex doing a job, if they are really capable of doing it. I've had a girl that I hire occasionally, but she isn't able to do heavy work, like laying blocks, but does a damn fine job of painting.I've also flown against a female Marine pilot in Dog Fight training, that was as good as any of us guys, in fact, they sent her to Top Gun. But lets face it, with a few exceptions, women just aren't built to do the things that guys can do as far as heavy lifting & such. But women are better at things that guys just aren't able to.

Re: Being a sexist.
anything a man can do, a woman should be able to do too...
now i am not saying that every woman can do everything any man can do but if a woman wants to do heavy lifting or what have you...you go for it girl...if she can physically can then more power to her..
there is only one thing that i know of that a woman can do that is physically impossible for a man to do...give birth to a baby!!!

i am a big believer in the E.R.A. if women want equality then they should have to do a "man's work" especially in the military, if a woman joins up, she should expect to get sent to the frontlines of a warzone...possibly...with the proper training of course...

just my personal opinions here...

There is one thing that puts your thinking out of balance...most women would agree with this...the fact that if men want to have children they should have to give birth...I'm sure your wives would trade places with you and let you push something the size of a bowling ball out of something that started out the size of you johnson, distorts your body into a stretch mark machine gone mad, and turns you into an all night diner for almost a year.

Re: Being a sexist.
I think that there are several things that women can do better than men, and vice versa. My step mom, was a carpenter, and worked right along side my dad. But when it comes to heavy lifting, most women are not cut out for it. Like having children, no men are cut out for it. So I would say lets respect the other gender for what they are, and give them credit where credit is due. GOD I LOVE WOMEN.....

trust me when i say this, if i could in any way possible, i WOULD be willing to give birth to a child, to be able to experience the "bond" between a mother and child that is only developed during pregnancy...

Re: Being a sexist.
I feel so used!!!!! You ladies say you like us brutish-brainless types to do the heavy lifting! Oh no, you wouldn't what to get sweaty or anything......just kidding!!!

Hell no, I wouldn't want to be pregnant, go through 9 months of hell only to be forced to lie prone on a table with my valuables on exhibit and force a large body out a very small opening!!!! No f**kin' way!!!! Ladies, you're welcome to that honor. I wouldn't mind being there for the impregnation though!!!

I'll do all the heavy lifting. It's a whole lot easier!!!!!

Yeh, I guess I'm a sexist.
