Nope...then this phenom would excluce blind people...I do believe in love at first "chemistry"...and that some people's auras and/or chemistry mix up something special at the very first meeting.

Has to be something there, my Aunt & uncle were married after meeting & dating for a week. They remained happily married for 41 years till he passed away.

Love can still be "true love" even if it doesn't last a lifetime....sometimes true love comes with an expiration date...and you can have more than one true love during your lifetime.
As NYK said, true love or love, can come in different forms.

oh i do.. just not the romantic cant be with out you from the start kind.. think its something that happens over a long period of time. its more of a level of comfort and trust... what you feel for close family. figure anything else is just really strong feelings of lust. get both from one person and you've won cupid's lottery.

yes, i do believe in love at first site - but i also believe that thing about expiration dates that chazzy explained. i've been married 3 times and i didn't check the exp. dates on any of those relationships. however, my true love has found me after 28 years. my high school sweety! now that's romantic!

that is romantic!!and yes...expiration dates? hmmm.
maybe since marriage requires a "license" they should make you pass the test first!!! 1/2 mulitple choice and 1/2 essay...

love at first sight, i consider to be puppy love, then the puppy grows up, and starts becoming a lot of work so you get rid of the puppy (or vice versa), then you have to get a new puppy....funny thing is i am not a dog person...i am afriad of big dogs, and little ones annoy me. maybe that's why my puppy divorced me lol

I think you guys have something there. Love at first sight (or quick response) is that feeling you get that encourages you to dig deeper into someone else. You start looking for what is it that makes you want to spend time with that person. As you find things that click you keep on working on it and adding things to the pro column and your love grows.
If too many things are in the con column you "fall out of love"
Just my humble opinion...
as for me, well the love of my life has been my best friend for over 20 years so I don't know if it was "love at first sight". We were only in the 6th and 7th grade.

It's like to old addage, "Possible, not probable". In my experiences, women who have said that it was love at first sight, were almost always, emotionally a wreck. There signifigant other fell out of love with them, resulting in a need to be attached to a man, any man. I suppose that if two people are comfortable with being by themselves, meet and fall for each other, on the first date, it entirely possible. I don't usually put much stock in it though...
